The Republican front-runner has secured his standing, as Ted Cruz has faltered.
Its probably too soon to run for the hills just yet.
But if youre worried about the possibility that the nuclear launch codes might a year from now be in the hands of a megalomaniacal strongman with a tenuous grip on reality, the scene on the ground in Iowa with just three days to go until the caucuses won't make you feel much better.
Donald Trump appears poised to notch a major victory in the first electoral test of the year -- a win that would further launch him along a once implausible path toward actually becoming the 2016 Republican presidential nominee.
This prevailing sentiment solidified during Thursday nightâs debate when Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) failed to capitalize on the GOP front-runner's glaring absence from the stage, instead choosing to bicker with the moderators in Trump-like fashion but without the flair.
And in a clear indication of his campaigns new strategic priority of trying to hold onto a now-tenuous second-place standing in Iowa at the expense of competing more explicitly to win it, the Cruz campaign is turning its focus over the airwaves away from the front-runner and toward Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
The New York Times reported on Friday that Cruz had shifted almost all of his negative advertising away from Trump and toward Rubio, in a last-minute attempt to prevent the upstart Floridian from surging into a second-place showing in Iowa -- a result that would upend the race and might prove fatal to Cruzs 2016 hopes.

on the contrary, the piece is dripping with dread of the inevitable
She won’t have to fix the rules of engagement. Trump will change his position in order to “get a deal” and do Pelosi’s bidding anyway. Trump has no principles - no rules - except “do whatever it takes to benefit Trump.”
There is so much for them to use to attack Trump.Unlike an illegitimate Canadian poser and his open borders future first lady?
And you probably thought the Michelle school lunch thing was bad.
. . . aa opposed to being in the hands of a megalomaniacal America-hating weakling with a tenuous grip on reality
Knee-knocking nervous Nellies.
I will not help this âready to deal with Pelosiâ asshat any support.Another GOP brainwashed pinhead conditioned to thinking just because you talk to a Democrat you have to give in to their wishes because that's been the GOPe way of life.
I bet you havenât donated more to Cruz than I have.Congratulations. A fool and his money....
They teach some icky useful stuff at Wharton, like Economics, Statistics and Accounting.

I believe without TRUMP, it would be a future filled with business as usual, in DC, because no one else in the field is free from pay backs, favors, or able to be independent of the political machines, on both sides, who have been running DC.
I am betting on TRUMP to restore a pathway to wealth building for the US economy, rather than a pathway to unfettered transformation of our population, with all this the leniency and deference to illegal invaders.
That is why TRUMP has my vote.
Try this on for size.
If Trump does win, and even more so, wins big in Iowa, just think about how he did it. He told Fox where they could stick their sandbagging “debate”, and put on his own Veterans Benefit Rally, pretty much on 24 hours notice.
Then to show his total ghestalt, instead of frantically running around Iowa acting panicked and insecure, he went and held a rally in New Hampshire the next day.
He’ll probably be back in Iowa over the weekend, and on Monday to pick up all the marbles. But he has clearly been calling all the plays as HE wants the game to be played out.
Go TRUMP Go!

That’s funny. Because every conservative that I personally know is voting for Trump. Not only that, but I *personally* know 7 people who’ve never voted in primaries before who are determined to get our boy in.
4 in Arizona
1 in Wyoming
2 in Ohio
(Another one who wants to add their voice to the choir, but Wyoming doesn’t allow military absentee votes in the primary. So he’s doing the next best thing. Buying Trump t-shirts and hats and donating to Trumps Veterans.)

I’d change ‘strongman’ to ‘girlyman’ but otherwise, isn’t that what we’ve had the past 7 years?
Yeah, you do have to give in to them if your Trump, right? Because you already support them over the years with your donations. There is no ground to give that hasn’t already been surrendered.
This is one time when “nobody knows nuttin”.
We’re just going to have to wait.
I don’t know, sounds like, If it’s Tuesday we must be in Belgium. Anyway, the fat lady’s getting ready to sing Trumps Triumphs I think.
