Well Donald Trump did admit he wanted a WIDE door!

The WIDE door comment always made me nervous.

He did say maybe the wall is not appropriate for the entire border and certain sections are not conducive for that.

I pointed this out when he said it this summer. Trump gets it because he's been there and seen it.

...I told him aside from it being offensive to Mexico, which is our second- or third-largest trading partner, the cost is impractical, and it’s not practical inside Texas, where the Rio Grande sometimes throughout the year is a source of drinking water for livestock....

I can not believe that this moron mayor puts watering cattle above the security of the United States.

Thousands of years ago things called pumps and pipes were invented. Pipe the water out of the river through the fence and into troughs for the cattle. It is also noteworthy that this prevents the cattle from pooping directly in the river which is unsanitary.

The fence will have electricity to run the pumps. And the cameras and sensors which will warn of intruders.

I noticed the same thing. Been here a long time and never saw so much ignorance and crudeness.

“But if Cruz doesn't make it, Trmup's my enchilada. Because he's a great fighter.”

Here's my question, I think a sincere one. I agree with your assessment, as it reflects my feeling as well. Vote Cruz, if he doesn't make it, vote Trump. FR is a very conservative site. Why are so many here in favor of voting for Trump first, before even giving Cruz, our staunchest conservative, a chance to succeed or fail on his own? I don't get that.

He could easily betray his present position. He’s made a habit of doing such and believes that hyperbole and creating false expectations are good business practices. So building a wall would no doubt be an easy one for him to abandon.

Ironic you would use the term ‘teddy bear’.

For 2 reasons.... but I won’t elaborate!

I hope you’re able to escape. All of my family did, one by one. Ironically though, we all went to border states again, just a little farther from the border. It was a little better, but over time those areas became as invaded as El Paso was. I heard El Paso got even worse, too, after that - I left in 1985.

I wasn’t necessarily talking about “flame wars”. Which I do understand both sides are at fault.

I was mostly talking about the crude language (words being used)....posts that would seem more common on DU than FR.
And also referring to anti-evangelical (some bordering on anti-religion) posts.

Now, if I missed those type of posts from people who are not Trump supporters then I will gladly condemn those posts also.

But I have only seen the crude language and (almost) anti-religion posts from Trump supporters.

One of the the things I always appreciated about FR was the absence of the crude language.
Maybe it will gone after the election along with the guilty posters.

I don’t doubt that both sides have said some insensitive things, but I’ve seen Cruz supporters post some outrageously inappropriate comments in regards to Christianity and religion. You must not be looking very hard, because they appear quite frequently. I’ll provide an example.

Example (Paraphrase): Trump and his supporters are fake Christians.

Well I hadn’t seen those that you referenced about “fake Christians”...

I just saw a post by a Cruz supporter with some crude language...
So I stand corrected.

Hopefully some Freepers will regain their composure soon...or be gone soon.
