So why not vote for a Constitutionalists who believes these things are not only harmful to out Republic, but just plain wrong? Why not give THAT guy the bully pulpit???

I'm not angry. I'm befuddled. Why in the world would FReepers support a NYC far left wing progressive just because he SAYS he's conservative? If Bloomburg SAID he saw the Conservative light and decided to run, would FReepers be as enthusiastic for him as they are for Trump?

I understand support for any other candidate, because at least they have a history of being somewhat conservative. It makes big a difference. I completely understand a FREeper can have a middle ground for how much Conservatism they'll except. but I don't understand the support for Trumps fake Conservatism on this scale. It doesn't make sense.

He’s changed his position on several critical issues as he has evolved from a CEO into a politician....
He’s a very effective CEO that will get things done....
If he is all you think he is, there should be a line-up of ex-employees with complaints...haven’t seen any....In fact, even his chief political counsel that he fired early on in his campaign only has praise for him.
He may not have the pure credentials of a conservative like Cruz but he has other critical qualifications that Cruz doesn’t possess. Both would be equally acceptable.
As I stated, I don’t have a vote yet and I’m waiting to see how this plays out, either Cruz or Trump would be qualified.
The good news for us, both will totally disrupt the GOPe leadership and the RINO’s are running scared....
Either way we take back the party from the establishment....

Easy. A lot of Trump supporters watched to see the train wreck of Megan Kelly vs. the other candidates. Including me.
It’s telling how most media and politicians are against Trump, but the people support him anyway. That’s a good thing that people are thinking for themselves, because those two entities have given us the downfall of our country.
You act as if you actually know something about Trump, while evincing no sign at all of having any understanding of Trump’s overall political positions in the past. Like so many who are misrepresenting Trump because they hate him, you take specific quotes or points out of context on a limited number of issues and avoid noticing his previous conservative stances.

Already by the 1980s he was talking about remedying the trade imbalance and high national debt [full-page ad in NY Times; several interviews, inc. one with Oprah], cracking down on crime, being loudly pro-police and pro-death penalty [another full-page ad in the NY Times; later a full chapter in his book, The America We Deserve], for fighting government wastefulness and ineptitude, and for less regulations on business [The Art of the Deal, esp. Wollman rink story; later revisited in depth in The America We Deserve including a call for lower taxes and a new word, “burons” (a combination of “bureaucrat” and “moron”)].
By 2000, he was also for cracking down hard on terrorism (which he saw as a big growing threat) and calling out the damage that teachers unions and federal centralization were doing to the education system [some of the main focuses in The America We Deserve]. Already in 2000 too, he was talking about the dangers of an open border and he said he was for a ban on partial birth abortion (he changed his mind immediately after the Russert interview Cruz is touting) [once more, The America We Deserve]. By 2011, he was calling for a border wall and deportation of criminals, the repeal of Obamacare, and was for strengthening the military, but using it more judiciously [his book, Time to Get Tough]. In 2013, he said the amnesty bill was a “monstrosity” and would be the death of the Republican Party [multiple tweets and his CPAC speech]. What in the world is your definition of “conservative” if these are the positions of a “far left wing progressive” who doesn’t even have a “history of being somewhat conservative”?
I think when Trump checked out the 2008 coup it woke him up.
I wish normal people would be willing to check out the 2008 coup; maybe they would wake up too.
One of the most important steps in that coup was the threats to the media, including Fox. People who saw Fox not discuss Obama’s eligibility or Muslim leanings (obeying the threat...) figured there must be no “there” there. If they had known that Soros, Axelrod, and Emanuel had threatened the media into silence they would have known there certainly IS a “there” there, or there would have been no need of threats.
This country is going to be sharply divided until the truth gets out, and Fox is one of the biggest hindrances to that happening, because it lulls “conservatives” to sleep.
Trump is willing to expose crap, and the 2008 coup and its aftermath have been nothing but crap.
I like Cruz for actual governance, but I like Trump for exposing the crap. So how do I choose who to vote for? Until the coup of 2008 and the hostage system is exposed, the nation will be too divided to allow good governance. So how do we get out of this?

If you think the vast majority of conservatives are going to pass up this chance to vote for a real American man. Lets see how that works out.
Lets also remember this a guy who has created thousands and thousand of jobs currently has around 25,000 employees.
