Complete bullshit.

Yes it is.

The last debate was on the Fox Business Channel, which does not have half the viewer penetration of Fox News. The author knows this.

Exactly what part of “NO personal attacks” don’t you understand? Have you observed just how effective trying to shame Donald Trump by calling him names has been? Have your read Tucker Carlson’s excellent article?

IOW this was the same debate as one with McCain, Romney, Dole...

A GOPE snoozefest.

Across channels they were boosting jbush and bashing cruz for missing his “big chance”

It seems that Huckabee and Santorum are far more honestly religious than Cruz. Something is misfiring with Cruz.

I saw over at The Right Scoop, Soopermexican, who supports Cruz, beside himself with excitement over the CNN report. What they all conveniently fail to mention is that Trump’s event was covered by C-SPAN as well as CNN and MSNBC. I know that I switched to C-SPAN, when it became obvious CNN was going to be cutting in and out with comments from their panel. If you were to add the number of people who watched on C-SPAN too, I think Trump’s event got more viewers than the debate.

Or as I choose to spin it, the Fox News GOP Debate without Trump drew the worst ratings of any GOP Debate sponsored by a Major News Network.

What? It’s not possible! No one watched the debate! Not possible that anyone would bother without the Donald present!

This is a Huge! Lie! No one likes anyone but trump. No one cares about anything but the show trump puts on. Why would anyone watch a debate when they could spend their time watching trump exploit veterans for his own ego?

/sarcasm off

How is it that before last night there was a massive cry of “Fox is going to get killed, 2 million viewers at most. Trump is going to kick their asses”, and now that that has been decisively shown to not have been the case we hear, from the same voices, “Ratings don’t matter, who cares”?

Not only does FNC got to 30% more homes than FBN, the January 15th host, but it is much better known and popular in those homes.

True, and on my system (Brighthouse), you need a cable box to access FBN while FNC is available without the box

I saw about an hour of the debate and thought it was very good, with several of the candidates giving specific policy positions or defending their views. That’s what I’m looking for—details about policies so I can compare and contrast these guys.

But considering this is Fox’s main station and not its offshoot, that’s still not good for Fox.

Initially maybe to see if the Don was coming. Fox and Jeb, (u still owe me $20 btw), sound like they had hopes he would be there right up til it started. Anyway, I’m glad a lot of folks got to see Ted thumped liked a pinata and seeing him whine about being a target.

Trump is the no-class clown.

Thank you. If he's so smart how come he sounds so stupid? We need Trump to go away.

Inconclusive. If they add together the ratings for both events, Trump’s and Fox’s, and showed a percentage, it might be a more accurate measure of what the audience was actually doing. Some people had them on split screen; or watched one on broadcast and the other on replay.
