Scarborough/Halperin on FBI Investigation of Hillary: Sources Say Something Happening
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/29/2016 4:56:19 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

With news of the death of Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane, let's take a line from another group of the late 60s, Buffalo Springfield: "there's something happening here." What it is ain't exactly clear, but it doesn't seem to bode well for Hillary Clinton.

Today's Morning Joe featured an ominous exchange between Joe Scarborough and Mark Halperin. The notion was that a variety of sources--from a senior network exec, to top Obama admin officials, to FBI agents--are saying the same thing: the FBI investigation of Hillary is much further along than most people realize. Listen to Halperin: "the body language among some Obama administration officials is, this is more serious, and something's going to happen."

If they let it go, it is a horrible precedent. But, again, we are talking about the Dems here. Conventional rules don’t apply. And the Clinton “magic” is not what it used to be.

I suspect Bill knows what is going on too, which is perhaps why he’s been so subdued lately.

I was in Austin, Tx and seen two Bernie 2016 bumper stickers. Lotta idiots who vote— one thing about hell not often mentioned. There will be no wise and intelligent there but ignorance will reign supreme.

Prepare your mind for the Biden nomination. Hillary is damaged beyond avoidance. She will; drop out just at the end of the primaries, to keep Joe to a minimum of press exposure. Gaff-a-minute Joe will be much harder to defeat given the democrat giveaway scams and vote cheating. Biden will siphon off some of The Donald’s popularity among disgruntled democrats who would not accept an avowed Commie as the nominee. Sanders is an also ran.

The Inspector General’s statement about her emails containing Top Secret and Above materials WAS the warning shot across the bow.

But not enough to charge her.

Obama can’t pardon her, if she hasn’t been indicted, right?

The FBI can just drag this along in the pubic eye very slowly and painfully.....since Obama will never let the DOJ indict.

It seems their only tool is to make her bleed, until she is bled out.

I really hope the FBI will bring up her aides and recommend charges, thereby crippling her flanks even more, (Mills and Abedin)

“Whatever it is, I hope Hillary wins the nomination. I prefer the devil we know.”

If you think Obama is bad, Hillary or Sanders would be 10 times worse, or maybe you would like to hand over 90% of your earnings to a “President Sanders”, but not me. The Government waste now is tremendous and you can bet, in a very short period of time, 90% wouldn’t be enough.

Yes following the Ford/Nixon precedent unless something’s changed since 1974.

Ford pardoned Nixon.

“Hilary has something on Obama.”

That's probably the case. However, the Clintons can't do anything to the Obamas; nobody can do anything to the Obamas. The world and the country — left and right — need Obama, once he's out of office, to be treated as if he were an Emperor. Race is too hot a topic in our culture for anybody to be permitted to bring Obama’s reputation down. If Hillary tries to hurt Obama, she'll destroy herself in the process.

The Obamas detest the Clintons and I do not believe O and M are afraid of B and H.

Burnout Sanders is being hailed as an “outsider” but he has been in government since 1981 (8 years as mayor, 16 years in the House, and 10 years in the Senate).

deliberate negligence

Legally, that's called recklessness. Depending on the facts, it might go as low as gross negligence, but probably not. OTOH, being informed that a certain document couldn't go through because of the top secret markings on it and then directing flunkies to take off the top secret markings and send it unmarked crosses the line into intentional and knowing behavior. That one email exchange is enough for an airtight case.

“Probables:
- The FBI is ready and has an airtight criminals case
- Hilary has something on Obama
- The DOJ can and will stall until after the election
- Unlike previous GOP nominees, Trump and Cruz will hammer her on this. Bush would not.
- Obama will pardon Hillary at some point”

Especially the last one, Obama will pardon her, you can bet on it, along with the Blind Sheik, Ramsey Yousef, KSM, and any other muslim who might happen to be in GITMO, plus numerous people let out of the prisons here in the States.

“The only difference here with Snowden is that Snowden was 100% intentional and premeditated while this was more deliberate negligence.:

Agree with what you posted, except for the last part. Setting up a private serve, and cutting and pasting classified info into emails sent to and from said server, are deliberate acts. (Yes, HRC may try to let the underlings take the fall for the cutting and pasting, but that won't fly because it wouldn't have been done without her approval.)

I've believed since last year, and am now convinced, that HRC will not politically survive this email scandal. One way or another, she will fall. Many freepers reflexively post, “She's a Clinton! She's untouchable!”, but HRC is long past her sell date and I don't believe most Dems are going to sacrifice anything for her sake.

My guess is an Iranian EMP exploiting the hole in our southern radar defense will hit sometime in November or December, when Obama is in South America yukking it up with his communist pals.

Obama’s handlers will lose everything if Trump is able to expose the coup of 2008. I don’t think they’ll let that happen. Obama was illegally put into office through the crimes of the communist-Islamist alliance so that he could buy them time to get everything ready for Armageddon, and Obama has made sure that everything is ready.

Trump evaded the Fox ambush, but there’s a bigger ambush waiting and he needs to get out in front of it. The candidates need to IMMEDIATELY start addressing the hole in our southern radar defense given the new circumstance of a nuclear-armed Iran and North Korea, both of which have practiced delivery systems appropriate for an EMP attack exploiting that hole. My understanding is that we have a portable radar system that could be brought in to fill that hole immediately. Given the new circumstances, there is NO EXCUSE for this not being done - unless the alleged POTUS is intentionally holding the door open for our enemies in the air just like he has on our border. And if that is the case it is WITHOUT A DOUBT treason for which he should be sent to Gitmo (the real reason he wants to close Gitmo, I suspect...)

Although she would look incredibly sexy in an orange jump suit, sexier than she has ever looked in her life, this will not happen. She is too big to jail.

Yeah, I was struggling with the right words to describe the difference between Snowden deliberately releasing the documents, and Clinton deliberately sending her’s unsecure but (probably) without intending they’d be intercepted.

“I suspect Bill knows what is going on too, which is perhaps why he€™s been so subdued lately.” You got it!

You can say many bad things about Bill Clinton — and, Lord knows, I have! — but he is one shrewd s.o.b. I suspect last year's photo of Obama and Bill Clinton playing golf, with Clinton looking upset, was exactly what it seemed: Clinton imploring Obama to get the FBI et al to lay off Hillary.

Yes, Bill Clinton does seem subdued. Do freepers notice something else? The Dems are very, very quiet about HRC’s email scandal. For example, You don't hear obnoxious Nancy Pelosi defending HRC; you don't really hear any Dems defending HRC.

No be can grant a blanket pardon for acts.related to her role as Secretary of State. This is much like Ford’s pardon of Nixon.

He could even great a pardon to Bill Clinton to protect him from the Foundation deeds etc.
