DES MOINES, IOWA — Bernie Sanders shut down a teenage girl who questioned the existence of manmade global warming on Thursday morning, to the delight of her classmates.

A girl who introduced herself as a a "17-year-old biracial female," said that "from looking at the evidence I've seen the last few years... I haven't seen any actual scientific evidence that global warming is actually happening."

"Thank you for your question. You're wrong," Sanders said with a chortle as the teen crowd at Theodore Roosevelt High School broke into applause.

They love dogma. It frees them from the burden of thought.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Strange, I've never introduced myself as uniracial.

I usually give my name, and where I'm from.

“There is no such thing as a happy socialist.”

Very true!
I have had the pleasure of speaking with many people who grew up behind the Iron Curtain.
Without exception they described a place without good humor or happiness , a place which pounded misery into them every minute of every day.
One Russian immigrant explained it this way: “Every minute of the day the system spent it’s energy squeezing every bit of joy, happiness and even love out of every person in the country. I didn’t truly know what was possible until I got to the USA.”

The one who really touched my heart was a woman who escaped communist Vietnam.
She was very clearly the product of a Vietnamese mother and an American father.
Because of her evident parentage her mother was subject to numerous charges and jailed many times during her youth.
We she came of age she was treated the same. I will only say that gang rape was one of the “gentler” methods used against she and her mother.
She finally escaped, with her husband and parents, and made her way to the US.

One thing that impressed me was the absolute joy taken from the smallest things by immigrants from the former Soviet Union and communist Vietnam.
Things we take for granted every day.

American education has either failed spectacularly or succeeded wildly, depending on your views, in putting race in the prefrontal lobe of every kid in America.

Even people in 1860 didn’t fret about skin color to this extent.

Y’know, your’re right.

That kind of applause isn’t ‘agreement’ or ‘good show’ applause, it is ‘drown you out with noise’ applause. It is applause that expresses relief and joy at being part of a mob.

The comments below the article were spot on. I think Sanders is trying to milk the Environweenies for campaign contributions. The Man Made Climate Change hysteria is a source of heat itself, generated to open up the flow of money into back pockets. The MMCC plays on the myth that man can control his environment and BIG Government is the one to do it. It is the myth of the collective controlled by the Great Big Brother. We know how 1984 ended. The Environweenies must have slept through their literature class because that Great Big Brother is not their friend. Not by a long shot.

The progs did take over the schools, but parents with children allow it to continue. Too much incentive..ie.. school bus, school breakfast, school lunch, school loans for college for parents to take a stand and send the kids elsewhere. And so it goes.

There is even more to it. It is akin to the "Two Minutes Hate".

Irritating. I can’t stand those damned characters. I thought because they didn’t show up on your post, I could just paste them in on mine.

Rats. This means I have to run these through some thing to pull them all out every time. Dang it.

“There are some articles of faith so strong with some people, that no amount of external evidence is ever going to overcome the prejudices and fixed ideas in their heads.”
This is so true. It becomes truer every day as we refuse to engage with challenging opinions, seeking out and consuming only those which confirm what we think we know.

It is the most serious thing. We need to take back the minds of our OWN children first, and get ALL children out of the “public school” indoctrination centers. Department of Education and all databases need to be ended immediately.

Common Core is psychological warfare on the children. It WILL destroy them: Menticide——explained in “The Rape of the Mind”—the Meerloo book on brainwashing and psychological control of the Mind.

Such arrogance does not build support. While a lot of teens may have cheered right then, at least some of them will wonder why he refused to defend his beliefs.

This is a side effect of “the cult of nice” in schools, where reality is so sanitized, to eliminate things that are “not nice”, that the smarter children realize that adults are “lying to them with omission.” That is, lying by not telling the whole truth. Trying to present a world with just pastel colors, Muzak, no sharp edges, and no bad feelings. A frightening place.

For the smartest kids, who recognize the lying, they realize it is because the adults have a corrupt and twisted agenda. But for the smarter than average kids, omission is terrifying, because they ask themselves, “What is so horrible, so awful, that it is ‘the truth that must not be spoken’?”

And it is the worst kind of enemy, one that is shadowy and tenuous, whose rules are unknown. Say you enter a room in your home and see a gun, not one of yours, resting on a coffee table. It is concerning, but not terrifying, because you know the rules of a gun. It’s not going to fire itself, so it is not the real unknown, just an indicator of it.

Compare that to visiting a strange, empty building late at night. You enter a dark room with a heavy door, and while looking for a light switch that isn’t there, the door closes and locks behind you. And the door has no handle inside, so you cannot open it. And then you hear the angry growl of an unidentifiable large animal in the room with you. Now that is terrifying, because you have no idea of the rules of the place and the animal.

And this is the apprehension created by Bernie Sanders in evading a real answer. For he does not want to teach them wisdom or knowledge, just mindless obedience.

“Trust me,” he says. “Ignore your knowledge, wisdom, common sense, and other people’s ideas.”

“Trust me. I know better how to run your life than you do.”
