Bernie and Hillary supporters should check out the Swedish tax rates.

It hasn’t ‘dulled his rise’ because his supporters don’t pay much in tax.

Sanders and Clinton supporters are mostly the leaches and parasites of society. They want everything for free and soon they will run out of other peoples money. When the collapse comes, they will be the first to perish.

This went over real well for Dem
Ann Richards when she proposed a state income tax for Texas. GW Bush became governor.

Not to worry - their voters don’t pay taxes anyway.

"Anyone remember Mondsle promising to raise taxes at a debate? He eventually won two states."

That was in an era before the 47% parasite class that votes for a living rather than works for a living.

Taxing someone else is what sells and is what the supporters will believe will happen.

Remember how Kirsten Powers, a lib on Fox, was completely astonished that her insurance rates went up after commie care started?

This just shows the wisdom of the original “no direct tax unless in equal proportion” in the constitution. This of course was amended to allow income tax with the higher rates for higher incomes.

So of course the immoral mob supports this. They can only benefit, not be hurt. They have no concern about hurting someone else.

This is how spending gets out of control. New programs would actually be given a second thought if everyone had to pay a piece and, on the politician side, they’d have to realize they’d be taking money from those that might actually need it for the basics.

Tax sells depending on whom you plan to tax. If it is the “rich” it sells because most mopes realize that most tax revenues come from the top 10%. Frankly, I would only consider a higher rate if they would also abolish the corrupt earned income tax credit. The tax code should not be a welfare system. Since that is not going to happen, I am not in favor of any change in rates or who pays.

I am in favor of the fair tax which we will see around 5555, if we survive.

Exactly. They see him as Robin Hood, and the ‘take from the rich’ meme works just fine for them.

[Clinton] tried to explain . . . "I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that the wealthy pay for debt free tuition, for child care, for paid family leave."

That pretty much sums up the Democrat platform. Gimme gimme gimme and make the "wealthy" pay for it. But whether she intends it or not, "wealthy" means pretty much everyone because you could tax the wealthy at 100% and it wouldn't be enough to pay for their plans and current government spending and obligations.

Some are finally figuring out Democrats don’t have a viable candidate that’s why Bloomberg is being promoted.

After the dim nominee dust has settled, Trump, assuming he is the GOP nominee, should tell the people that if the government took 100% of his money, it would fund the fed. for minutes(whatever that number is). And then where are they going to get future funds?

All Democrats push for higher taxes in one form or a other. It is deep in their DNA. The only other candidate that is campaigning on increasing taxes is Donald Trump. His desire to place import tariffs on consumer goods is, in reality, a sales tax. Raising the prices of imported consumer goods is not paid by China or any other nation. It is paid by the American people. The alternative? Buy American! At increased prices, of course. Labor, corporate tax rates and regulatory costs already make American made products uncompetitive. That is why the shelves of Wal-Mart are stocked with ‘made in China, made in India, made in Malaysia, etc.’ American consumers want cheap stuff.

The purchasing power of the dollar is lower now than it was 10 years ago. Let’s completely destroy the middle class by increasing the cost of goods even more. Up to 45% more. Oh, joy.

A majority of voters wants to stick it to the wealthy. Sorry to say that but it’s true.

Like my Dad (RIP) used to always say....

A liberal (actually he usually said Kennedy) is someone who wants to give your money to the poor and get credit for doing it.

No, that was not ‘how spending gets out of control’.

- Disregard the Constitution (C) and (C) limits
- Disregard sound economic policies: (illegal) fiat currency, (illegal) non-precious metals backing, non-baseline budgeting, etc.
- Create illegal, immoral and un(C) programs/dept/agencies/regs/rules
- ‘Invest’ in those that CAN work, but refuse to do so or have more brood than they can possible sustain themselves and refuse to personally sustain (anti-personal responsibility) [See: Socialism].
- ‘Invest’ in said illegality, set spending and spending hikes on ‘automatic’
- Borrow to add to funds spent (deficit)
- Allow those that profit off the above to vote
....

Yours is yet another symptom of the root problem (see point 1 above).
