Only if one asks, or have you forgotten that God hates the proud, but gives Grace to the humble.

Do I know Mr. Trump’s heart: NO, but I see his fruit (by word) and past deed, and I am skeptical..

I don’t believe that.

Please VOTE in the Free Republic Caucus 01/25/2016.

Thank you.

Remember:

Don't forget:

Don't post ANYTHING other than a vote on that thread
.  If you do, you will invalidate your vote for today.

ABIDE BY THE PROPER FORMAT.  You will jeopardize your vote if you don't.

To: Logical me

Based on what?! The latest polls, which happen to show Marco Rubio, then Ted Cruz beating Hillary head on (and Trump either slightly ahead or slightly behind here).

Hate to break it to you.

There will be plenty of Christians voting for Trump.

They can see what shape this nation is in, and they know we need a strong-man to get things back on track.

He’s going rope and hog-tie the Left on Capital Hill.

It’s way beyond time for that.

BS.

There is nothing to ask for because you have already been forgiven. And if you ask for anything before God you are playing God yourself. He is the one who knows what is best for you.

Go about your life and do the best you can and stop pestering God with silly questions.

So you’ll only vote for a person to a secular political office if they hold what you believe to be proper religious values?

There’s many who feel that way.
It’s not uncommon.

It doesn’t mean I agree, and it is not in my mind what defines conservative public policy.

There is no religious litmus test for me. It’s all about policy. Part of that policy should be keeping the government out of my church. But that gets harder and harder when there are churches, on all sides, that won’t stay out of government.

Excellent article Michael!

And you are absolutely correct!

Christians should not be supporting a candidate that is Pro-Abortion like Donald Trump is.

I don’t even know how to answer you, if we don’t recognize we have sin, then how can we look to Christ as the “cure”?

God looks at the heart above all (we are all wicked), it’s realizing we need Christ and coming to Him that actually allows Him to “pay our fine” before the courts of His righteous justice.

Do I know if Trump has done this or not: NO, but the evidence I see leads me to doubt this..

We have already been forgiven for our sins. that was the point to begin with.

Trump does not have to ask for forgiveness because we have all already been forgiven for past sins and future sins.

That is all there is to it!

Not if one doesn’t receive Him because they don’t think they need to.

Otherwise the whole world would be saved whether they believed in Christ or not.

Remember the wide road vs. the narrow that not many find.

Evangelicals not being the sharpest tool in the shed, tend to be purists, and they will ride Ted Cruz while he goes down to defeat. I repeat, Ted Cruz cannot and will not be elected. You only have two choices: Trump or a Democrat.

>> There aren't enough evangelicals to make Ted the nominee, let alone president and nolt ALL of them are going to vote for Cruz! Your supposition is therefore utterly wrong on many different levels. <<

I'm NOT evangelical, I AM voting for Cruz, and MANY other people who are NOT evangelical are ALSO voting for Cruz. Your supposition is therefore utterly wrong on many different levels.

>> Are we electing a pope or a president? <<

Last time I checked, Evangelical protestants don't vote in papal conclaves.

Two Words describe how clueless you and Cruz are.... Ready? Wait for it..... GLEN BECK. If Cruz can’t tell what a charlatan Beck is does he really know or care what a Christian is.

That's NOT the basis for this article.

Did you even bother to read the article?

I know quite a few evangelicals who ARE voting to TRUMP. So what? Your post is off topic; my reply was ON TOPIC. :-)

Seriously, that made me laugh.
I’m certain that you understand my point.

However if someone chooses to vote solely on religion, or worse yet, tells someone else how they should be voting based on religion, I remain free to consider such actions misguided, and to state my opinion on the matter publicly.

RIGHT!

Ted Cruz is the Mary Poppins of Conservatism. He's practically perfect in every way. If we reject Conservatism now, it's midnight in America. The patient is terminal. It's never going to happen.

My post is entirely on topic. If the ONLY people who voted in America were evangelicals, your supposition that there's not enough of them to elect Cruz would be correct.

Unfortunately for you, IN ADDITION to winning over Evangelicals, Cruz can also attract support from other other 75% of the electorate.

And even more people, evangelicals and non-evangelicals are voting for Trump; not to mention other candidates. But the theme/topic was about ALL EVANGELICALS and NOBODY ELSE !

Good grief....look at the title!

And just WHO is to say that those evangelicals who aren't for Cruz, aren't taking their religion seriously...the author? WHY...because he says so ? LOL
