Americans of all stripes love to debate which president was best or worst. This is a subject that is too important to rely on opinion polls, which are skewed by individual bias and political views. While It's difficult to rate how good or bad any president may have been in comparison to another, a careful look at the facts shows one president failed in virtually every aspect of the job to a degree unrivaled by any other.

When you review the facts below and consider his impact on our economy, foreign policy, and domestic policy, by almost any standard, it’s difficult to find any president who did more harm and left the country in worse shape than George W. Bush.

At the same time that Bush was leaving office with a 28% job approval rating, 61% of historians rated George W. Bush's presidency as the worst in history. In another, informal survey of 109 professional historians, 98.2% judged the Bush presidency as a failure while a mere 1.8% classified it as a success.

Below you can find all the reasons that George Bush deserves the title of Worst President in US History. I encourage you to do your own research and verify the facts stated in this article.

History will not be kind when it looks back at our corrupt media.

It is not hard to see why GW Bush is ranked so low.

Record surplusses turned into record deficits; a failed and mismanaged war sold on pretenses that were false; a totally inept Katrina response; a politicized Justice Department; outing a CIA agent; a financial meltdown; and the worst economy since the Great Depression.

The GOPe has brought all of this upon our country, and this explains why it is hated so much and why it must be destroyed if true conservatism is to have an opportunity to succeed.

Similar bunch of lunatics also once name reagan as worst ever. It was in Time Magazine. My 88 year old at the time Grandfather and I got into a pretty good argument over that one.

My wife told me before we got to his house not to argue cause it would cause a heart attack. When we left I just said “he started it “

He loved those arguments as much as I did.

Sad thing is if Reagan didn’t make Poppa Bush his VP, we wouldn’t have had either Bush as POTUS....more’s the pity.

This just shows the conceit of modern educators. 61% of historians, some of whom are prominent, ranked George W. Bush as the worst president ever. EVER. By any standard — even their own PC standards — this verdict displays remarkable ignorance.

Let’s start with a standard measure of success or failure — did the country fall apart? Was the president incompetent? Well, in that category, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan — the presidents from the disastrous 1850s — clearly outrank Bush.

But OK, let’s say that these dopey professors have their ideological blinders on and hate Bush because of his “racist” and “imperialist” policies. Well, then, Woodrow Wilson, James K Polk and maybe even Teddy Roosevelt were much worse than George Bush.

So why the focus on Bush? Well, for the same reason that John F Kennedy was considered one of the “best” presidents for years — because history professors are stupid and ignorant.

My lifetime? Pretty close to a tie with Obama and Carter, with LBJ a close 3rd.

“Bush invaded Iraq then HELD IT.”

But you first have to ask why he did it? The 911 Hijakers were all from Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden was a Saudi. One of the most often plausible reasons offered was that Saddam Hussein had plotted to kill his father. I don’t know about you, but that shure isn’t a pretext for causing the deaths of 5,000 of our young people and pissing away billions of dollars of money we had to borrow from the Chinese. For ten effing years he plodded along in Iraq and Afghanistan, unable to win. Additionally, you have to wonder why our military wasn’t successful in a couple of years max. I think the answer lies in the politically motivated “rules of engagement.” At the end of the day W was a lousey president but unfortunately he was “better” that the alternatives the RATs served up.

Indeed they are left wing. A friend of mine was watching tv with most of the historians in a large museum. They cheered when the Red Chinese Army attacked the demonstrators in Tianaman square. Disgusting goobers.

History used to be about the impartial search for truth.

Nowadays it seems that most US historians don't believe in objective truth and see nothing wrong about having a partisan slant to their writings. I looked at a general US history recently by the late Robert Remini, who specialized in Andrew Jackson and was, I believe, a New Deal liberal in his outlook. When it came to the impeachment of Bill Clinton he dismissed it as Republican partisanship. That Clinton had committed perjury didn't enter into his calculations.

That would make a good debate. BO hasn’t started a Civil War, yet.

There are two possibilities with Obama, neither of which bodes well for his place in history. One is that he is the ultimate incompetent doofus, incapable of governing a dog park, much less our nation. The other is that he is the ultimate Manchurian Candidate. In either case, his actions have destroyed whatever leadership position our nation had in the world, and whatever unifying possibilities were available within our borders.

We will never be able to return to our previous glory. There are only two options available to us.

One is to follow the present path, which will lead to our destruction: Buchanan's actions resulted in a domestic war, but Obama's actions, left unstopped, will result in the end of our existence.

The other is for a Caesar to grab the reins and yank them in the opposite direction, for there are not enough truly free patriots to return the land to the republic that it once was.

That is what Trump claims he will do: he will Make America Great Again. The problem, I fear, is that in doing do he will be unable, perhaps even unwilling, to Make America America again. It is here where the Great Conservative Schism we are experiencing on FR and elsewhere comes in. Trump, at best, will fix America, and that indeed would be a great step back from the Obama-lemmings brink where we find ourselves now. But in doing so, he and/or his successors will become the Caesars, who will subsume the authority of the republic into themselves. Perhaps that is the best we can hope for now--but if it is, it is because of the fundamental destruction of America as America that Barack Obama has accomplished in his seven years in office, and for that he richly deserves the prize of being the worst inhabitant of the Presidency.

I believe Bush was mislead by the NWO cabal and their bogus ‘Sadam’s WMD yellowcake’ nonsense. That’s a LONG STORY but in the end we established some sense or order there until 0blama turned his back on the Status of Forces Agreement for more sinister reasons.

It is common practice not to try to discern “history” while all, or most, of the actors involved are still alive...because bias is an inevitable part of any “analysis.”

Also, historians have lately become almost reflexively Leftist in their orientation - so naming Bush as the worst is hardly a shocker.

Yeah, he sucked in many ways, but he was hardly the worst by a long shot. Let’s compare Bush 43 and Hussein in 30 years, when most of their aides and the media types from now are pushing up daisies - methinks that Bush will turn out to be mediocre, while Hussein will turn out to be at least far, far worse in every measure, if not an outright traitor...assuming that we even have a country at that point, and aren’t part of some caliphate, or a burned-out, EMP-d wasteland because of Hussein’s policies.

Buchanan gets my vote. Then Obama, Pierce, and Wilson in that order.
