An American tourist was brutally stabbed to death at a deserted beach on the Caribbean island of Grenada Saturday, according to police who say the suspect quickly turned himself in.
The 39-year-old woman had been walking in the sand with her husband when the attacker stabbed her with a cutlass, a short sword, The Telegraph reports.

I have pretty much decided that nless the place I am interested in recognizes my right to self-defence-meaning bearing of arms either openly carried or concealed ( preferred) I won’t go.
Now, many folks criticize my position, and that is fine, but it isn’t because I am afraid of crime, it is just that I am not very tolerant of it. Leftists can imbue the desire into their followers minds that the state will protect, but not me. Been there, done that, don’t need another bloody T shirt.
Yes, my stance means that I won’t likely frequent places even here in the US.
The last thing this poor woman had going through her mind may have been something like “why did this man run me through?” Tough answer is “because he could-with impunity”.

The manner of the killing of this woman suggests something about the ethnicity of the killer. And, yes, many of them took up piracy for a living throughout history.
