"...Who WON'T be dead in 100 yrs..."Stephen Hawking. Hell, isn't he like 200 years old now? I'm pretty sure he'll still be around unless somebody unplugs him...

He should have recognized the physics. If the corrupt US and Euro governments are involved, a scam is assumed.

Wrong class/type of star to explode. But will consume the earth eventually near the end of it’s life. Btw, it would probably take about 8 minutes before earth was affected. If the sun just disappeared right now, we wouldn’t see it for about 8 minutes. Then lights out.

Wrong class/type of star to explode. But will consume the earth eventually near the end of itâs life. Btw, it would probably take about 8 minutes before earth was affected. If the sun just disappeared right now, we wouldnât see it for about 8 minutes. Then lights out. We discover new things all the time. This could be the first discovery of a star the class of our own sun's that has this sort of spontaneous supernova.
And, by the time the visible light gets to us to warn us, the nasty stuff (gamma rays, etc.) will be right on it's heels.

The man is a secular materialist, believing we’re just matter. If true, there’s no reason to try to keep everything alive. All of this means nothing.
His actions betray a value system, whether he likes it or not.

We have the technology to create huge underground bunkers that can keep thousands of people alive for dozens of years or more.
As far as I know such underground bunkers already exist, and there are well thought out plans of how to get the "right" people into them if need be.
Whatever dangers we could escape by going to another planet, we could equally escape by digging underground. Whatever dangers there are that could hunt us down and kill us in our underground bunkers, could also hunt us down and kill us on other planets we might move to.
If there is some desire by the powers that be that human existence continues far into the future, then the cheapest and most reliable option is going underground.
And I have a sneaking suspicion that many governments around the world have such facilities built, stocked up, and ready for population.

“Hatred of God explains the fear. Poor guy.”
Warning people about nuclear war, the abuse of artificial intelligence, and genetically engineered viruses somehow is an expression of the hatred of God?
