More specifically, it was Rubio and the Gang of Eight that he stood against.

>>In Texas politics, the Bush family runs the show. Ted had the Bush family blessing, and Dewhurst never really stood a chance.<<

What? Dewhurst outspent Cruz almost 5 to 1 and lost in a run-off. It was various Tea Party groups that helped Cruz over the top. Besides, Dewhurst WAS the establishment candidate. That man blocked conservative legislation time and again. He was not well liked in Texas.

So, if the Bush family runs the show as you stated, why then do we enjoy fantastic conservatives such as Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick? These were the Tea Party candidates for those respective positions.

Ted Cruz stood on the senate floor and called Mitch McConnell a liar for attempting to deceive conservatives in the senate such as Jeff Sessions, Mike Lee in regards to the backroom deal McConnell made with John Boehner during the TPP legislation.

John McCain, McConnell, Hatch and company began calling Cruz all sorts of names for his conservative stands, filibusters in an effort to stop amnesty. Cruz calls them the Washington cartel...pretty sure he’z not won allot of love pointing out the corruption in D.C. between the lobbyist and politicians.

Folks trying to label Cruz as establishment are being dishonest.

Please, point me to this "long, long time record" of Mr. Trump.

Are we talking 2 yrs., 5 yrs., 10, 15 or 20 as "long, long time record?"

Please point me to this record as I'm having a difficult time putting Mr. Trump's newer (since June, 2015) record against the old ones that I dig up myself, not being anxious to be misled by various campaigns.

The media is attempting to make this election about performance in debates, rigged polls, pundit comments, or expensive overrated ads. What really matters is the resume of the candidate before the election season.

Certainly borrowing against one's collateral to run a campaign against a well-heeled millionaire opponent supported by the Bush family, hints at deep dark intentions.

Its certainly not like borrowing really big bucks against a promise and filing for bankruptcy. Nope, now that takes real character, after they are really yuge banks and deserve it right?

If by "stood against" you mean agreed to with added provisos, then yes he stood against.

More to the point. Whatever he did, it was inconsequential. Reform passed the senate in a big way, and the house version was as close as you get to being a done deal.

In the end, one could make the argument Rubio had more to do with derailing it by his abandoning the bill and failing to caucus with the house. Had he continued to support it, it would probably have passed the house too.

Me2Ted is at it again....Trump takes the media on and the talking heads in all his rallies, and what do you know, here comes Me2Ted right behind Trump trying to do the same thing...

Isn’t going to work, we are on to what Ted is and what he is all about, especially hanging around with Beck, all to clear where this campaign is going to go....The City Dump!!!

Sorry but Trump was not "the loudest voice" against BHO's birth certificate and he had to get in line at that, as there were a number of serious people questioning that issue.

Some even Sen investigators to more than one foreign country but you're right about Trump "being a loud voice."

He was right or wrong, I don’t know, but his opponent raised is as an issue. I’m sure he was not wrong. They have to be very meticulous and it sounds like he was. What’s, he going to have to send out a blast email and say “I’m Taking Out A Second Mortgage On My House! Oh, that sounds like Ted & Heidi. What kinda name is Heidi? Are we sure SHE’S an American?
