Numerous calls have been made for the French to deploy their army in Calais after 50 migrants stormed a ferry last night, causing chaos and bringing the port to a standstill. Anarchist groups aiding the migrants co-ordinated the attack and a demonstration preceding it that saw statues and shops in the town centre daubed in graffiti.
Ferry workers turned fire hoses on the migrants as they stormed the ship, ironically called the Spirit of Britain, in a desperate bid to keep them at bay. Although around 50 made it aboard the ferry itself - and then milled around seemingly at a loss to know what to do next - only 35 arrests were made.

Anarchism is a fairly old political philosophy. Of course, one may scoff at it and criticize it — but it’s a real thing. There is a notion that humans can build a society without a governing authority, without coercion, and with an emphasis on cooperation and community spirit.
It might be ludicrous, but that’s the idea of Anarchy as a political philosophy.
But the people today who call themselves “anarchists” do not know anything about that philosophy. Those goals are not their goals.
The people today who call themselves “Anarchists” are Marxists who seek a powerful one world government that will force people to share goods, and which will crush all political opposition.
Beware of “anarchists” — they seek a totalitarian state. Because words no longer mean anything.

I thought the May Day parades with Mexican flags from years past indicated it was here already. I guess their PR people told them the Mexican flags weren’t helping their cause; haven’t seen them for a while (they’ve been replaced with SIEU banners, I guess).
Time to set up a dummy ferry (with junked cars) that they can hijack; then tow it back to Africa.

Can the French police watch every boat in every port, checking for human smugglers?

What's really weird is that I'm hearing Rod Serling's voice in my head saying it instead of Bill Engvall's.
