I could not care less who supports whom. I am opposed to the hypocrisy of some of the writers at NRO and I opposed to the hypocrisy of some of the Trumpkins- who last year were urging for people to vote for Grimes in KY while their demigod was bank rolling McConnell’s campaign.
And I said on another post, I often disagree with National Review. I'm not sure they should have put out this edition. But it's true, Trump is terrible for conservative and the country.
But since you brought it up, it's interesting how Romney's biggest supporter was Ann Coulter and she is now Trump's biggest supporter.
Trump actually registered as a Republican from independent in 2012, so he could vote for Romney in the new York Primary.
Pardon my confusion.
Trump supported McCain in 2008 and he got slaughtered in the Election when a Majority of American disagreed. Even some FReepers didn’t Vote for McCain, the same ones that always complain about Obama. Same for 2012 with Romney.
Here Trump is asked about the new President and he basically said he hoped he could succeed in Office.
Trump DID NOT support nor Vote for Obama in 2008 or 2012, but he hoped for the best after Obama won. That is the point you are making in your Post copy / paste from what I take away from it.
That being the case, I keep reading here that Trump supported Obama for President in 2008 which is a LIE. They say the same about 2012, which is also a LIE.
I’m a Cruz Guy but frankly, you are giving me a Headache.
At least it is entertaining watching all the Pretzel making going on around here. Even better than watching people make Balloon Animals.
Disclaimer: I am a Cruz guy first, with Trump as my second and only other choice. I will however Vote against Bernie or Hillary in the General Election no matter the Republican Nominee.
I can say that being secure in the fact that either Cruz or Trump will be the eventual Republican Nominee. I am also fully aware that anything can happen in the next ten Months.
Best Election Season ever. Always something for everyone.
22 people (affiliated with various sources) authored articles in National Review. The article you posted deals with 1 of those 22...Bill Kristol.
Wow, just wow!
He’s listed as a republican everytime. What does “a” stand for?
Oboma SAID he was pro-life, but his record showed otherwise.
Oboma SAID he was pro-marraige, but his past showed otherwise.
Oboma SAID he was all for the 2nd amendment, but his past showed otherwise.
Oboma SAID he was a faithful Christian, but his past and present show otherwise.
If you look at what he SAID, you'll see he ran as a very conservative democrat.
The media never questioned what he was SAYING. They ignored what he actually DID before running for the presidency. That would have alerted the voters of the REAL oboma, and he wouldn't be in the White House today.
The same thing is going on with Trump. He, too, says he's for all these wonderful Conservative things. He's just like oboma. His past, also, shows us otherwise.
"Beware the deceivers bringing false gifts and broken promises."
Trump is trying to make a sale. He's the used car dealer who's trying to sell you a real beauty, but under the hood there's no engine. All he's got to do is get you to write that check. Once he gets the money in his hand, he won't give a crap about what you think. Just like oboma. Oboma could care less about all the people who voted for his "professed" conservative beliefs. Now he sees them as the enemy!
More great work by Sundance.
Got anything on who he actually voted for? He loved Hillary, and claimed oboma was doing a great job as president.
He called for Bush's(R) impeachment, though. He was no fan of the Republicans.(He is now, 'cause wants to be Mr. president )
Hannity pointing out now, NRO was against Reagan (âheâs an actorâ) too.
Reagan had been a liberal democrat in his earlier years and voted for FDR four times and admired FDR.

Fortunately, people like nopardons and I refused to stab Reagan in the back. He won the nomination and became a great president in spite of being a democrat and really liking FDR!
Trump was gopE in 2009 and praised obama.
Great tagline...and 100% accurate.
NR = GOP-Establishment...at best.
Sundance = Solid Conservative...and true anti-Establishment

Wouldn't they have to be crazy to invite David Brooks to bash Trump with them?
Your post shows (if it's not a fake but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - like obomas birth certificate), that he registered as a Republican.
It does not say how he voted.
He loved Hillary, and really likes oboma, but was calling to impeach the REPUBLICAN president Bush when he was in charge.
No one knows if he voted for or against oboma. All we know is he loves the guy. That's all we really have to go by.
In my opinion, because of Trumps undying love for all the democrat candidates, he voted wholeheartedly for oboma. It would be illogical to believe he didn't.
We'll never know unless Trump himself decides to come clean. .
We were lied to that Trump listed himself as an independent in 2012.
He did not!
We were lied to that he did not vote!
I'm sure Republicans throughout the country fell for obomas fake conservatism and voted for him too. How a person registers to vote does not tell how they actually voted.
I can see where people would naturally assume Trump voted democrat. They were his closest business partners, and he agreed with almost everything they stood for. They were (are) the best of buddies for decades. He threw money at democrats like candy at a parade - even Harry Reid! (Trump was rewarding him for passing oboma care)
So you can understand why a majority familiar with Trump before he decided to run for office would assume, because he was a big oboma supporter, that he probably voted for him without seeing a problem with it.
If Trump loses the primaries, there's no doubt in my mind he'd vote for Hillary. The two are like peas in a pod. He thinks she's wonderful.
And I'm not saying I agree with everything he's doing. I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they FUND THEM or NATIONALIZE them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going."
