So I looked it up. There is no Classified level in the US government system! The levels are Unclassified, Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret.

Right. And that's what the federal prosecutor will argue at Hillary's perjury trial. (OK, I'm dreaming a little bit there.)
Agreed...she has successfully gotten the media and the public to fixate on ‘markings’. But not all information can be ‘marked’.
If Hillary has a conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel about a secret topic, she can’t just hook on to the wifi at a coffee shop and relay the contents of the conversation...ie, its secret by nature, and cannot be marked, but must be treated that way.

My first reaction was aww bs, everyone knows that unclassified means not classified and the C, S, and TS rankings are classifications. But then the sense of it came on and I know that the precise words used by a Clinton have to be parsed carefully to determine the loopholes. What everyone knows about words is not the same as what lawyers know about words. She may be a poor attorney but she learned well to choose the words proper to obfuscation and alternate meanings. Cruz and Rubio, and disappointingly, Levin do that, too, but in less convoluted manner.
The key word here is "marked." It's her version of "It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is."
True. But if it’s NOT marked ‘Classified’ then what she’s saying is technically true...

The OTHER meaning to her comment is that if she DID receive or send classified information, it was not marked with ANYTHING. But regardless, such information is STILL classified whether or not its marked and the Secretary of State of ALL people should know classified information when she sees it!
I think Hillary is leaving herself an out, and that is that she DID have classified information but it wasn't marked with ANY classification marking.
That's exactly right... heard it on Fox the other night, from Judge Napolitano, I think. There is no classification of “classified” so she is technically correct. And it's definitely deliberate choice of words that never change, no matter what. It reminded me of when Bill kept saying, I did not “have sex” with that woman, and later insisting that “have sex” meant intercourse, so it was not a lie. They are masters of deceit!
Of course it’s misleading and the media know it, they’re helping her.
If you received an email that said (something to the effect of), “Our top operative, Mr. Whomever, has infiltrated ISIS headquarters...” - do you need to ask if it is unclassified? Of course it’s secret. It is secret by its nature. They get training on this, they know it, Hillary knows it. There doesn’t need to be any markings, it may just not yet have gone through the gears of government to get some “official” markings.
Hillary can play all the word games she wants. At the end of the day, the FBI can’t ignore this. I can’t imagine what crazy events are ongoing internally. Obama is probably holding a knife to someones throat to not move forward, giving him the ability to control Hillary and continue his legacy. If Hillary steps out of line by one inch, she’s done and she knows it.

Bingo. She intentionally had material unmarked, as a wall of mud for her future defense if necessary. This is evidence of prior, deliberate, informed intent to violate the law, and should lead to maximum sentences (life x 1200+ charges, which from her appearance could be 1 to 10 years).
You're probably right, but this is how crazy this thing is. It's also possible that Obama is holding a knife to someone's throat TO move forward, to get Hillary out of there soon and replace her with Biden.

If classified material (information) is to be transmitted from one point to another (one person to another) there are prescribed and proscribed means, media, methods, and markings for said classified material depending on the nature and/or source(s) if the information.
Classified electronic communications MUST be sent via approved GOVERNMENT communications channels and encrypted to the classification level of the information, or above. (You can send Confidential information with Top Secret level encryption but not vice versa.)
Diplomatic communications by their very nature are treated as Top Secret and would not be sent through an unsecured (public) Wi-Fi system whether they are marked or not.
Again, whether the e-mails were marked or not is irrelevant! She knew what was classified and how it should have been handled. Knowing failure to properly handle the information or failure to report misbehavior in others are a 'per se' felonies.
