I’ve done the best I could to live up to my marriage vows
for the past 51 years; have taken care of him in sickness
and health. . and I wish the best for him. I no longer put
up with the garbage out of him. I guess I’m just a little
apprehensive that the BIL will barge in on me & try to take
over under the pretense that he has to “take care” of me
now since our son has been forced to live in parts distant
from us (because of husband’s bossy-butted attitude).
Of course, the German SIL would be onboard if she thought
it would mean she would get her hands on our “stuff” &
our property to sell. I’m sick of all of them. The BIL
lies and tells his kids that they “have” to stay where they
are because we “need” them to look after us when in reality
he’s afraid they’ll be called on to babysit if they move
up where their kids live. (The BIL & SIL are an hour from
where we live and we sit on our own bottoms & do not call
on them at all.) Of course, I *may* die first; I’m not the
boss of that, but it irks me that they all seem to think
they can roll over me and our son. Husband starts all this
crap about our son “not sending us Christmas presents,
birthday cards, etc., which is a LIE! The child has always
sent us NICE gifts for special occasions, spends large sums
of money that he EARNS himself to fly here to visit, etc.
- It’s about driving me round the bend as it is just nuts!
This BIL is same age as me, but likes to mouth off about
how OLD I am - he & his wife both! (She is just a bit over
5 yrs. younger than I am; which is still not by any means
YOUNG!)
