Thanks for the great story. My grandfather had a auto repair shop in 1930’s Omaha and one day a representative from the Mafia showed up and told my grandfather that he will return in one week to collect dues for protection. The next week the rep from the Mafia showed up to collect dues and my grandfather beat him to a pulp. Rule: the locals in Treviso where my grandfather was born do not like the punks in Palermo where the Mafia rules and crushes small businesses.

My brother was stuck on the Bay Bridge today and just resigned himself to selfish politicians, indecent protestors and upset drivers. Wow. Selfish politicians really make it tough for the middle class.

San Francisco is the center of commerce and a huge employment site by historical accident.

If the non-pervert and non illegal Californians had any brains or influence or sense of normalcy, they would move all the largest employment centers and supporting infrastructure to the Central Valley.
