Agreed, it is theoretically possible for a Mormon, Sikh, Bhuddist, a Jew or some weirdo from Reason Magazine to be a good president. Thankfully it will be Ted Cruz next time.
I'm ok with that, as with Trump. All others......no way.
What is this "destroy" thing? And why is it "hate" to point out a clunker that will jar a lot of ears? The hive IS buzzing about it.
Some may be content to buy a pig in a poke. But, if the pig manages to stick a snout or tail or ear or leg out, I have a better chance to make an informed decision.
Trump is starting to show a little leg. Some are making wise decisions.
My take:
His speech writer ( or the person who helps him with his crib notes if Donald “writes his own speeches”) decided that Donald needed a verse referencing liberty while speaking at Liberty University. Note writer prints out 2 Corinthians 3:17 and Trump reads it exactly as written.
It’s just political pandering. No one should be shocked by it.

Judging fellow believers is our responsibility as believers. We are called to hold each other accountable. We have to remove our own planks first, mind you.

Not only are we called to judge fellow believers, we’re supposed to cast them out from amongst us if we find them to be guilty. Does that mean we shun each other for stumbling? No way. It means that if someone professes to be a believer but knowingly and intentionally continues in his sinful ways, he should be cast out from our circle of association.
Back to Donald Trump and his “bungle.” I certainly am not suggesting that he be cast out for a verbal misstep. If I should find that he knowingly continues in sinful ways without remorse, out he goes from my circle of influence.
He had a non-Christian staffer feed him a verse. Trump has no clue about Bible things.

I heard the comment before I had ever heard about its controversy. My first thought when I heard it: the reference sounded awkward - it did not sound like something Trump is used to saying. I'm not surprised that the Liberty students laughed - while not incorrect to say it that way, it is unusual.
