Wrong. They certainly placed the natural born clause in the Constitution precisely because they did not want a president with divided loyalties. The place of your birth is always remembered fondly. My eldest son was born in Michigan, left before he was one year old, but still supports Michigan sports teams. In his more sober moments he admits this makes no sense, but it is exactly this sort of prejudice that the Founders clearly understood to be dangerous for a president to have.

I think people will find it interesting that up to 15 months ago, when he renounced his Canadian citizenship, he could have run for political office
in Canada or run for political office in the U.S.

Trump first acted on this when he went after Obama to produce his birth certificate. This subject matter of who qualifies to be a President of our country obviously resonates with Trump for whatever reason. Good for Trump. He is a Nationalist at heart.
Has it occurred to you that just maybe those New Yorker’s don’t want their money back and they aren’t all that fond of “New York values”? That maybe they’re sick of Cuomo and de Blasio values. You know those “values” where the donors were told they were unwelcome in their own state.

Of course he cares. Trump was the only person with a big microphone to speak up about Obama’s failure to prove his eligibility, and he succeeded in getting him to have someone forge up a long form birth certificate for him. Based on all the heat he took behind that, why would anyone think he’d now give Ted Cruz and his Canadian birth certificate a pass. Plus Trump’s obviously a YUGE patriot and maybe having people with foreign allegiances in the White House really doesn’t sit well with him.

Trump spoke at same place later. He started his irrational allegations and was booed.

My point is simple: This issue remains unsettled because it matters so little. Most of us don’t expect to be president of the United States, so what do we care about whether or not we — or our kids — are “natural born citizens”? That provision in the Constitution was put there to prevent foreign-born characters from being influenced from abroad.

It seems obvious to me that Ted Cruz is a natural-born citizen, and if the Constitution really says otherwise, I think the Constitution is wrong. But just because the Constitution is wrong doesn’t mean it loses its authority.

Well there you have it, Ted Cruz is an NBC. Lucianne’s son says so, and if Ted is not an NBC then the Constitution is wrong. But it doesn’t matter because Donald Trump doesn’t really care about it, and besides, its not important.
Trump is a post-constitutionalist. He plans to get rid of 0bama’s executive orders, then issue his own “good ones”. IOW, he plans to rule in the same way that Zero does.
If Cruz gave NY money back,
It would total over 11 million dollars.
What are those donors who donated 11 million to Cruz want in return?
That is the whole key to this...... and apparently a lot of other people don’t either.
