Trump vs. Cruz: It's 'New York values' vs. 'Duck Dynasty' values, America
foxnews ^ | 1/15/16 | t starnes

Liberals and the mainstream media are foaming at the mouth over the comment Senator Ted Cruz made Thursday night about “New York values.”

Now, all of us folks who are not New York City liberals know exactly what Senator Cruz was talking about -- and it had nothing to do with the aftermath of 9/11.

Senator Cruz was talking about cultural and political values.

“Duck Dynasty” values versus Big Apple values.

As an expatriate Southerner who resides among the indigenous liberal population of Brooklyn, I know of what the senator speaks.

And to suggest that the senator was referring to the brave firefighters and police officers who were massacred in the 2001 terrorist attacks is not only disgusting but an outright lie.

But liberal politicians have never let the truth get in the way of their ugly agendas.

“I am disgusted at the insult that Ted Cruz threw at this city, and its people,” de Blasio said Friday. “And the bottom line is he does not understand, in the least, New York values.”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called the comment “offensive” and said if he “had any class he would apologize to the people of New York.”

That’s the same governor who once said that “extreme conservatives” who are pro-life and pro-gun are not welcome in his state.

guess I am a duck too.

I have read so many people who do not understand what Ted is referring to. Maybe this will clarify.

If not, read what the Governor of NY said are the values New Yorkers should have:

The liberals here were also offended by Cruz’s hit on New York values. Funny thing is, a year ago someone demanding New York values in our next President would have been mocked and zotted... How things have changed...

I like that. Sounds like a good tagline.

” have read so many people who do not understand what Ted is referring to. Maybe this will clarify.”

So is this a quote from Cruz, or just more people putting words in his mouth?

No it really isn’t. Its Fox Nudes being too clever, and trying to help Cruz against Trump. Trump is also ‘Duck Dynasty’ people. Screw Fox News, traitorous bastards.

The faux outrage is a great indicator insincerity.

Better trademark it before the Trumpets retaliate by using “Schmucks over Ducks”.

Ted is now running against New York City Values, not Donald Trump.

In the Republican primary.

Brilliant.

“So is this a quote from Cruz, or just more people putting words in his mouth?

If you had read the article, it would be clarifying.

You might want to try that prior to throwing questions around.

I wonder what FR will look like after the primary.

I'm not sure. But this is about the most brawling I've seen the place since the Buchanan-Bush wars in 2000.

“Brilliant.”

Yes it is. He knows how the people of the south react to NY, a place culturally thought lacking in morality. A Southerner who now supports Trump might think twice about his social conservatism (or lack thereof).

Here’s one commercial I was reminded of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooPBXfnIpYI

A long time ago I went to see a little-known New York comedian in a southern California comedy club. He probably performed the same routine that had worked in NYC. He got almost no laughs. The audience did not find smug, loud, arrogant, and rude to be amusing. He noticed that he was failing, but he had an explanation ready, that he shared with us: we didn't like him because he was Jewish!

I was tempted to tell him how wrong he was, but I managed to restrain myself.
