If he really wants a church which is more accepting of his sin, why would he choose one which for centuries has at least in its tenets and officially opposed the sin of homosexuality, based on Biblical authority, just as it stands on Biblical authority to oppose other sins?

These sodomites don’t want to make traditional churches “more accepting” of their sin, they just want to destroy Biblical Christian churches. They don’t choose “churches” which have already openly accepted sodomites, that’s not what they want. They want to destroy the few still standing on the Bible in opposition to the culture.

The process of marginalising then outlawing Biblical Christianity is progressing much faster than I ever dreamed it could, and no other tool could have served the purpose so well as that of the sodomites.

That’s how churches which purported to be Biblical have gotten themselves into this mess, by turning a blind eye to other sins, until now we have a militant group who won’t accept their sin being called sin, but making a civil rights issue of their sin, so that it makes the perfect tool against churches. It works best against lukewarm churches, because churches which have stood staunchly on Biblical principle all along have a stronger position from which to oppose this one, when it comes to the people they have representing the church in any way, in any position.

there goes the notion that gays just want to be left alone and not impose their life on Christians...

“LGBT Catholics protested the firing of a music minister”

LGBT Catholics? Now that’s an oxymoron right up there with
mexican craftsman.

Great, another intolerable, interminable (WOTD?) minority group with
the added bonus of being perverts.

“Whatever happened to freedom of association? If a church cannot define its own beliefs and be represented by employees who share those beliefs, then what is freedom of religion, speech, and association?”

We’re witnessing the death of all the things you mentioned in the last bastion of them. They no longer exist in America except in the confines of one’s own home and in the churches. That’s about to change as well.

RE:”If a church cannot define its own beliefs and be represented by employees who share those beliefs, then what is freedom of religion, speech, and association?”

Churches are exempted from the Maryland state law forbidding discrimination of employees based on ‘sexual orientation’, whatever that is.

These protesters are looking to pressure the church into changing their policy based on public opinion, and then opinion of church members.

And get rid of that lame garbage from Marty Haugen and Dan Schutte. I have made it known to my parents that I do not want to hear any of that crap at their funeral. If there is to be any non Catholic material, go back to Isaac Watts. MH and DS are not RC’s, they are United Church of Christ (dead liberal).

Many people think that their Catholic funeral would sound just wonderful accompanied by the wafting strains of ‘On Eagle’s Wings’...

A more barf inducing melody I cannot imagine, but the local Novus Ordo church, presided over by ‘Father Dave’ would have it no other way...

If you work for a Catholic church, you shouldn't be living opposite of the tenets of the Catholic Church.

Higgins says he was terminated on Nov. 8, 2015 for a simple reason: "Because I'm gay and married to my husband, Robert [Higgins]."

And I believe the church said as much. Your point is?
