That’s why we need consistent conservatives. Cruz is the most consistent conservative in the race.
Save it. I have heard Rush say Trump is not a Conservative and I’m sure many others on FR have also.
Trump Proposes Consumers Pay 45% Tax on Walmart Purchases
Yeh boy old progressive Trump who wants to build a wall along the border, kick out all the illegals, re-negotiate all of our crappy trade agreements so they benefit us, leave the 2nd amendment alone, reduce the size of govt and get rid of the EPA and the Dept of Educ. Make the VA accountable and worst of all bring back jobs. I just don’t see how I can vote for any of this crazy chit. :-)
Wow writer agrees with nutty, crying Beck! Says all I need to know.
From Rush Limbaugh yesterday: "There's no evidence that Trump is not what he is, and don't forget, I know him. He's not an unknown quantity to me.... I have spent a lot of time with Trump. And by this I mean I know a little bit about him, not that I'm afraid to be critical of him, but I know a little bit about him. And he's not a Democrat. He is not a liberal."
No, I heard Rush say it, but it isn’t important enough for me to sift through archives. I don’t need Rush to tell me Trump is not a Conservative.
It was important enough for you to post that he said it...now it doesn’t matter that I can prove he said otherwise. Okay.
He said what Trump wasn’t. He didn’t say what he was.
Oh... so I gather Rush is implying Trump is a Libertarian, Socialist. Yawn. Gimme a break.
It is clear what is meant by "not a conservative," as in the article it is explained the following way: "Limbaugh explained, that compared to Reagan, Trump is not a conservative (with the republican base), and the bulk of Trump's support is not the Republican base... the bulk of Trump support is what we all have been led to believe the Republican Party wants: blue-collar people, moderates and independents."
This is all compared to Reagan who was never a staunch social conservative, or even a fiscal 'free trade' conservative because he put a 100% tariff on Japanese electronics in 1987 and solidified Social Security... and he never claimed to be on a mission from God.
One could nitpick semantics all day. But ask yourself what you really want in governance, what you will settle for at this point in time. Do you want a globalist, social conservative with Cruz or a knuckle-busting nationalist who is socially moderate with Trump.
Not only that, Limbaugh constantly reminds us that (direct off his page), "For seven years we've had to sit here and listen to the Republican Party stand mute, afraid to say anything for fear of what the media's gonna say about 'em." Trump grabs the media by the throat and punches their eyes out.
Trump is fully known. He has been in more households than Obama, Hillary or Reagan put together. If you can't smack down the media this time you have nothing and if you are not well known enough this time so that the media cannot define you, you will lose. Faith yes, but fighting is most important.
As Chaplain Forgy said at Pearl Harbor, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition."
Opposes full defunding of Planned Parenthood.
Supports letting illegals back in the country -- essentially touchback amnesty (and says they have to come out of the shadows, you have to give them a path, and we have to make it possible for them to succeed here.)
Praises socialized medicine -- "It works in Scotland and Canada"
Supports Kelo v. City of New London and defends the abuse of eminent domain, including his own attempts to use eminent domain to crush a woman who was in the way of one of his casino projects (i.e., opposes property rights).
Supports INCREASING(!!!) ethanol subsidies.
Wants to put a surtax on the very wealthy.
Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
An even clearer case for Trumpâs âprogressiveâ bona fides (which FR wouldnât let me post):
