As much as I hate to say it or hate the thought of it, you are absolutely correct. The only way to change course inour PC world is a painful wake up call. As an ER doctor might call it, “response to pain stimuli”. By the way, there is no political solution.
The only way we will have a reasonable degree of safety in this country is to expel ALL muslims, whether foreign-born or domestic. Trump’s proposal does not go far enough.
Probably a combination of both.
Shortly after 9/11 I was in Baytown, TX and I don’t have a doubt there was a dry run or possibly a drill by the feds on locking down a city.
Every major road into and out of Baytown was blocked by minor fender benders all at the same time.

When a car catches fire, short of having the means on site to extinguish the fire, they usually just quickly become engulfed in flames and burn up rather than exploding.
We need to carpet bomb the Middle East with nukes.

A single blocked highway in the greater Philadelphia area jams all other area highways for hours on end, as motorists look for detours and clog other routes already slow at normal capacity. 6-10 people creating blockages simultaneously could immobilize the entire tri-state area.
Works for me. Better yet, constitutional carry on all public conveyances.
No there isn't. The class of stupid people and people with a vested interest in the current status quo , is just too large for a "vote" to solve anything.
We need pain. A massive dosage of it. If we do not get sufficient pain to wake us up, we are going to die.

If these ISIS jihadis don’t slow down before they bring it on in the US, they may find that the progressives have not softened us up enough yet, and the game of cowboys and muslims will cost them dearly.

In a traffic jam hundreds if not thousands of cars are closely packed together not to mention the possibility of fuel trucks in the mix.
Same in every city and when the traffic comes to a complete stop cars are only a few feet apart.
The hotter the fire gets the faster it spreads to the other cars.
We need this in the same manner we needed Pearl Harbor. Without that attack, we would have sat on our @$$e$ until it was too late to win.

I read this book a few weeks ago, and it's a realistic view of what's coming.
A few hundred ISIS "commandos" will hit our schools, and snipers targeting tractor trailers and gasoline trucks on our highways. Highways are paralyzed with jack-knifed tractor trailers, people being shot as they leave their cars...
After my wife read this book, I asked her what she thought. Her response was, "It's just a matter of time. Most likely in the next year or two."
I'm not an alarmist, but based on the Paris and San Bernadino terrorist shootings, they were a precursor of what is going to happen in this country.
This book is a real eye-opener to those who are willing to face reality.
Under even the best possible series of scenarios, the Muslims cannot possibly kill enough of them quickly enough to wipe them out as a threat. Once the Europeans go into Muslim extermination mode, there won't be any Muslims left on the face of the Planet.
These Muslims literally do not grasp the nature of the monster they are poking at.
That happens when you kill millions of the most manliest men of their society in two world wars. Years ago on another website I used to ask why England seems to be more or less overrun with queers. One person who was very knowledgeable on military history said "Verdun."
Maybe losing millions of their best has gelded the center of Europe, but that doesn't explain Scandinavia. I'm pretty sure when they get fed up, that Viking mindset is going to reassert itself, and I think a bit of Militaristic Violence will always find a warm place in German's hearts.
