Macy’s is considered by many to be very expensive. But if you know how to play the sales you can often get some tremendous deals there. They frequently have huge mark downs (50% and up) on their (albeit ridiculously over-priced) original list prices. That plus the occasional online coupon adds even more savings. In the end you’d be paying a very reasonable price for some high-quality big-name items. Fortunately, I have one near me in Queens NY within 4 or 5 blocks walking distance.

We used to shop there constantly. My wife even returned what she still could.

I’m not sticking up for Trump but you have to look into the reasons that these businesses failed.
A couple years ago, Verso paper bought out NewPage paper and became one of thee largest paper corporations in the world.
They now are talking about filing chapter 11 because they can even make the payment on the debt they took on having bought NewPage and NewPages debt. Even after closing several of the poor paper mills that were under performing.
So, your conclusions about Trumps holdings hold nothing new to business.

Better review Chapter 11. It does NOT eliminate any debt it is a restructuring of company and debt.
i think it is time PC companies learn that they are pissing of lots of people on the other side. Honestly it is the poor economy hurting Macy. Too expensive for many. Do business and shut up is what companies should do.
Just out of curiosity how many of you complaining about Trump cheered when the advertisers that “boycotted” Rush after his words about Sandra Fluke cheered when their sales tanked and their stock prices tumbled?
Lets face it, it’s best to say absolutely nothing about politics in this day and age or politicians from a business sense.
Trump did nothing but pointing out business consequences of their actions that Rush did.
