Doesn’t a US Senator have to be a citizen of the USA?

GO TO CHURCH.

I can't go to any church . . . they're all too liberal. You see . . . they all believe in the "new testament!"

I'm not electing a preacher.

Neither am I, but Cruz sure beats Trump all to pieces on those issues.

And YOU are the only one ever to utter the words BROWN MENACE. You lie and BEAR FALSE WITNESS against good Americans and then want me to worry about your religious sensibilities being offended? WOW DONE.

All mankind has the choice of G-d or self. Identitarianism (or "racialism" or "civilizationism" if you prefer the terms) are a deification of oneself and one's ancestors with no regard to universal objective religious truth. This is the great temptation of all right wing ideologies, as the history of the Right in Europe amply illustrates. The fact that a man like Trump, with no history of conservatism whatsoever, has become "the great white hope," illustrates that this is now happening in America as well.

And again, I will vote for Trump if he is the nominee. I just don't understand why so many people prefer a man like him to about the closest thing to perfection in a candidate that we're ever going to get . . . especially when they pull the "religious cult" card in order to shore up a thoroughly secular nominal mainline Presbyterian.

There's really no need in us arguing. I will vote for Cruz in the primary and you will vote for Trump. But we must unite in the general election.

"Has Cruz ever been asked to provide such documentation?"

From https://themarshallreport.wordpress.com/
At present, all FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests filed in search of any U.S. citizenship documents to confirm the true official U.S. citizenship status of Ted Cruz have been denied access. All citizenship records for Ted Cruz are sealed unless and until Ted Cruz agrees to allow any such records to be released by either U.S. or Canadian agencies.

As a result, there remains no authentic evidence to support the claims that Ted Cruz is either a "natural born" or "naturalized" citizen of the United States.

Hmmmm, where have I read that before? Who else had all their records sealed?

“Doesn’t a US Senator have to be a citizen of the USA?”

______________

Evidently you can be a DUAL citizen. One would think it would be ‘prudent’ to give up another nations citizenship first. He claims he ‘didn’t know’.....some constitutional lawyer..... For 18 years on FR, the consensus was that DUAL citizenship was akin to treason.

“This is to certify that the person named above has formally renounced Canadian citizenshp and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on” May 14, 2014, the letter read.

Citizenship is a quaint artifact from a long dead republic. Today we are all citizens of the world! /s

It is possible that technically Cruz is not a citizen of the USA. However he's lived here almost all of his life so I think we can expedite him back quickly from Canada after we deport for being here illegally him :) lol

You are a blockhead of the first degree. Whomever is respected by his own countrymen is wielding greater strength.
Didn’t you ever hear the old saying, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” which has proven time and time to be correct. Remember Patton’s famous words when speaking of Rommel, “You magnificent bastard, I read your book!”

I am far more up to date on Russia’s recent history than you can possibly imagine, as well as her past history. I am NOT a silly thin skinned typical female who is afraid of her shadow and watches daytime TV to pass the time. Your tactics won’t work with me, so go peddle your guy to someone you might impress.
I’ll stick with an intelligent man who is not beholden to the political pacts.

Gotta admit, I’m REALLY getting sick of the “Cruz isn’t conservative enough” lunatics!

If Cruz is not conservative enough, just who the hell is? Sure as hell is not Donald “I know Hillary and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president” Trump!

YGBSM!

I never said he wasn’t ‘conservative’.

I said he’s corrupt and bought and paid for with nothing on his resume but government lawyer running on my TAX $ with no name recognition or executive experience and kept his dual citizenship until a year ago. (Now to be fair, Ted said he didn’t KNOW he was a Canadian citizen.......and he’s a lawyer???)

Aunt B -

Trump has public policy positions on 5 issues...good for him...but doesn’t answer the previous questions on Trump and the Constitution, streamlining the budget or entitlement reform.

I mistrust Cruz for various reasons. He and his wife were both Bushies.

His association with Dominionist beliefs may not be a bad thing in the primaries, but in the general election, it will be a deal killer for many.

Ted can't get around that because his dad is on video declaring Ted a King.

Cruz is not an outsider candidate. When push comes to shove, he voted with the GOPe in the capacity he could and still keep a straight face.

Sorry, he is mostly talk with no results.

As a lawyer, he is fine. He is certainly no Ronald Reagan.

“I said he’s corrupt and bought and paid for...”

Evidence? Of course not! Just accusations against anyone who isn’t a billionaire, since we ALL know Trump would never do anything shady or cozy up to politicians!

“with nothing on his resume but government lawyer running on my TAX $”

Nothing except being a US Senator, and no, he is not running on your tax dollars.

“with no name recognition or executive experience”

Other than the publicity he got fighting FOR conservative ideas against the DC establishment. And running a business is NOTHING like being a governor or President, and none of the governors managed to break 10% in the polls.

“and kept his dual citizenship until a year ago”

BFD! The idea that birth in the US makes on a true American means Hillary and Rev Wright and Bill Ayers are all true Americans, and I spit on their patriotism! The idea that Jane Fonda is more loyal to America than Ted Cruz marks one as a total, drooling idiot!

And I spent enough time on the birther threads to know that two citizen parents was not and never has been a requirement for being a NBC of America. Switzerland, maybe, but not America!

The idea that Ted Cruz is not loyal enough or conservative enough to be well thought of on FreeRepublic nauseates me. You anti-Cruz idiots are too stupid to belong in America. Your sort of theological purism is a great way to make Hillary president, and if you are too damn stupid to realize it, you are too stupid to deserve oxygen.

I hope you’re not calling Social Security and Medicare Entitlements!
I’m not worried about Trump and the constitution. He EXHIBITS his belief in the constitution by his actions.
His position on eliminating some and making other alphabet agencies more EFFICIENT should certainly speak to the issue of streamlining the budget.
But then some of his detractors can’t quite think outside of the box.

My life is fine. The attacks on one of the most conservative politicians to ever run for the presidency are not. If Ted Cruz is not enough of an American or enough of a conservative for you, then WHO IS?

Trump? Donald “I’ll kiss Hillary’s butt, and Obama’s too” Trump?

Who?

I want a person who can win the general election. If we lose, it won’t matter about conservatism ever again. The demographics will make it almost impossible.

This election is not about liberal versus conservatives. It is about America versus globalist NWO types. Either they win, or America wins.

Voters know we are on our last leg and they are going for broke. No more Uniparty. They need to go.
