Not Coincidental - Trump’s 2015 Conservative Critics Were Obama's 2009 Fan Boys...

By now almost everyone has acknowledged that Donald Trump has ripped the masks from most of the modern professional punditry who espoused to be conservatives yet showed their hidden ideological colors as elite globalists.

Most notably this was evidenced in June as millions of Fox News viewers saw FOX's entire line-up of professional pundits proclaim borders shouldn’t matter; border walls won’t work; illegal alien amnesty was the only viable solution to decades of unenforced immigration law; and, heck, this was only in week #1 of Donald Trump's campaign.

Since June '15, on almost every issue those same pundits have now openly aligned themselves with GOPe agenda items like global trade, tax policy, big government spending, and advocacy to including advancement of Speaker Paul 'Omnibus' Ryan.

However, a sharp reader, DrudgeAddict, smartly points out these same voices were the exact group who gathered together in an exclusive meeting with President Obama in 2009 to sing his praises after the '08 election. Including :

George Will

Michael Barone

David Brooks

Charles Krauthammer

Bill Kristol

Lawrence Kudlow

Rich Lowry

Peggy Noonan

Just saying.

The entire “conservative” bench is completely sold to China.

Trump is the only one saying America needs to be for America once again.

Cruz has started making those noises as well, but mostly it’s been Trump all along.

This is why Trump is doing so dared well. All his competitors are completely sold out.

Every last one of them.

My problem with Trump is I just don’t believe him when he is saying these things now. You can just go back into his recent past and find him saying the opposite. Since he hasn’t had to make a hard vote anywhere for anything we can only go by what he has said in the past. And that doesn’t look good.

Who is saying the things that Donald Trump is saying?

Who?

EVERYONE is sold out to China.

It’s getting really bad on Fox as no matter what Trump says or does these low life’s spin it as bad.

I had to turn them off, it used to be funny, but now it’s sad had much they are in the tank for anyone but Trump or Cruz

Conservatives have no media outlet.

Bummer to be you and be so torn....

here's a thought for those who don't like/trust Trump:

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

And yet the "hard votes" by Cruz have been FOR the Corker/Iran deal, for TPP. I guess you could say he voted against a couple of budgets, but that's a lot easier to do when you know you're a minority of one of two and it will pass anyway. So it is easier to make a "stand" knowing there are no real consequences.

I don't see it. The GOP has had control for five years and done squat. I am ready to try an alternative.

George Will

Michael Barone

David Brooks

Charles Krauthammer

Bill Kristol

Lawrence Kudlow

Rich Lowry

Peggy Noonan

etcetera

Keep the list right next to your media interface and remember this at all times: these people are not informing you, they are performing for their next paycheck; and it isn't you who are signing it.

My problem is I dont believe you. Donald Trump I believe, especially whenit comes to making America great again.

He is a winner, not a loser.

I suppose, having once been fooled by a charlatan media celebrity such as Obama, healthy skepticism is in order on their part to avoid being fooled yet again by another charlatan media celebrity, such as Trump.

Ted Cruz is the consistent conservative we need to coalesce around. As Dennis Green might say “He is who we think he is.”

We have no idea who we are going to get with Donald Trump. He might be a crony capitalist in the worst way, but as Tom Hanks might say, Donald Trump is a box of chocolates.

Sticking with Trump. There is NOTHING more conservative than stopping a permanent democrat/marxist voting majority and doing whats best for the people and the country. By virtue of Mr. Trumps position on illegal immigration he Trumps all others conservatism.

He said the things he is saying now in his book “Time to Get Tough-Making America #1 Again” published in 2011 and some of the things he said on his book, “The America We Deserve” published in 2000.

The chapter titles in his 2011 book are:

1. GET TOUGH
2. TAKE THE OIL
3. TAX CHINA TO SAVE AMERICAN JOBS
4. IT’S YOUR MONEY-YOU SHOULD KEEP MORE OF IT
5. A GOVERNMENT WE CAN AFFORD
6. STRENGTHEN AMERICAN MUSCLE
7. A SAFETY NET, NOT A HAMMOCK
8. REPEAL OBAMACARE
9. IT’S CALLED ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FOR A REASON
10. THE AMERICA OUR CHILDREN DESERVE

I agree with you. Trump is running a campaign a lot like Obama did. Speaks in wonderful generalities about walls., etc. Sounds a lot like Obama did.
Another Cult of Personality candidate.
There is a record of him supporting Democrats, Obama and Clinton included.
We really do not know how he would govern.
The only specific thing I’ve heard him mentions so far has been his tax plan.
Cruz has a record of defending the 1st amendment in religious freedom cases as solicitor general of Texas. Also, a big case, the Medellin case, where he won a 10th amendment case, against the wishes of his former boss, George W Bush. No record of Trump, just heated rhetoric so far. He doesn’t ever seems to attack his opponents policies, just his opponents themselves (low energy, moron, failure, etc).

Trump is not my perfect canidate, but honestly who is? Trump bangs on enough cylinders to get my vote though. Respectfully, I'm sure you're aware he was a developer first, not a politician. The political elites have plenty iron clad career politicians for you to choose from.

Look the country voted for Obama twice and before that Bill and Hillary twice too!

In this age, Trump is the right canidate for the coming political fight. I've been hoping we could produce a canidate that could fight fire with fire for a long time. The Dems have been kicking our butts with their school yard politics and name calling for years, at least Trump's are true! My pinky lifting republican friends may need to get a little dirty to win this next fight. It's a new polictical reality and Trump knows it.
