The White House declared victory Wednesday over congressional Republicans in the budget negotiations that concluded lateTuesday night, saying Democrats beat back the GOP across the board.
White House officials cited a long list of wins over majority Republicans on individual budget items ranging from funding for Planned Parenthood to an overall increase in spending beyond previous “sequestration†caps.

The GOP got the budget passed during that 4 years as well, with little fanfare. The last budget they wrote had a deficit of only $137 billion which Nancy Pelosi increased to $167 billion after the Dem’s retook the House. From there, the deficit skyrocketed in subsequent years under Dem rule and then divided rule.

When Paul Ryan was handed the speaker’s gavel in late October, he pledged to restore normal order to the People’s House and eliminate the sort of backroom deals that rank-and-file members complain are shoved down their throats at the 11th hour. So, late Tuesday night, Ryan unveiled a few thousand pages of consequential tax, spending, and regulatory legislation costing roughly $2 trillion and gave Congress and the public two whole days to review everything.
So, Ryan is so pathetic he couldn’t even cut a deal that the White House wouldn’t gloat openly after getting everything they wanted?
They won’t do it. GOPe is deathly afraid of gov’t shutdown.

That said, looking at Paul Ryan’s old speeches and old dynamic economics ideas, I am confused.
What happened to him? What do they have on him? People do not make such enormous philosophical changes without something drastic happening.
Has anyone ever asked these people who have changed their entire worldview or philosophy : Have you or your family been directly or indirectly threatened by someone in the current government?
I followed Ryan and his economic philosophy closely before the last election. What is happening now, MAKES NO SENSE.

Your "mistake" is quite understandable.
Every morning I get up ready to go to the mat with my dog. Instead, he just rolls over, wags his tail, paws the he air, and grins (dogs can grin you know), letting me know that if I don't rub his belly I will feel really badly about it all day.
But where my dog differs from Ryan is that he [my dog I mean] is cute (doesn't sport a 3-day beard), loyal and vicious to anyone who threatens me.
P.S. Mrs. Jackson has informed me that if I ever sport the unkempt look of a Ryan I am going to be sleeping on the curb.
