How is your mom? I think I’m going to have to go back to OKC to help move my MIL. My manager isn’t going to be happy! She’s getting out of rehab much sooner than expected and that has altered our plans.

it’s a nice warm down-filled jacket, that has “FUBU” embroidered on it. Mom bought it not realizing that “FUBU” (For Us By Us) is a African-American business that caters to the hip-hop culture, and is the favorite attire of rappers and gangstas. So I took a wee bit of embroidery thread, and subtly changed the second “U” to an “O”.

Now you have been let in on my delightful little joke! It can’t be seen unless one looks closely, but I know it is there.

Yes...I have been so naughty that I will probably get coal in my stocking this year.

Within one city block in Quincy we have:

Two Sushi Joints
A Noodle Shop
Five Chinese Restaurants
A Vietnamese Restaurant
A Japanese Bubble Tea Bistro
An Asian market
And ONE halal Meat market which is somewhat surrounded.

All the signs are in Chinese and English, including the one on the Irish Funeral home that handled Mom’s Funeral.

The City of Presidents is now 80% Asian.

Most of them are lovely people, and the food is terrific, but it seems strange.

My Mom(RIP) took a lot of good-natured ribbing for that jacket, and since i had no winter coat, I inherited it. With a tiny alteration, I have made it my own.
