I've been getting a little less certain about Cruz, for reasons that seemed small but are piling up. And now he's channeling Kasich with the "in crowd" line that Trump won't be the nominee? Who has Cruz been listening to lately?

I'm all in for Trump. I don't understand what Cruz's hurry is. Let him get some good results in the US Senate for four years, Trump will need all the help he can get there, then Cruz can run for President.

Cruz has been playing a long-game strategy, and we’re about to see it unfold.

******************

I believe he has a plan mapped out. Maybe he’s got it planned by dates, etc. but he
best be getting it in place as we are 62 days from the first caucus event and 71 days from
the first ballot casting.

I thought Cruz would have the Iowa caucus in the bag and maybe he does but there are some
info saying Trump has troops on the gound in all counties.

Don’t know about who he’s been listening to but you don’t think he’ll announce that
Trump has it wrapped up and it’s all a show at this stage. Cruz is in it to win
and I’d think so are all the rest but their chances are slimmer.

“I was at this packed meeting in Coralville referred to. Ted was impressive, very casual and low key.”

Casual and low-key is what we have now.. We don’t need more of that.

Yes, he really does kind of have to say that if he’s running. Its not a hit on Trump.

"I've been getting a little less certain about Cruz, for reasons that seemed small but are piling up"

You're a longtime Freeper, so I know you realize you have a posting history, right?

You've been airing your "concerns" over Cruz at least as far back as the summer, and saying you were for Trump, so what's this "I've been getting a little less certain about Cruz" and "reasons that are piling up?" You've been piling up concerns about Cruz for months.

Clumsy attempt, dude.

My first concerns about Cruz started when he ignored all the cyber-screams about the trade deal he was played so badly on. Those of us who questioned it kept getting lectured that the Cruz people knew what we didn't understand, and Cruz's brilliance would lead to a good result. Oops.

Then it came out that he supported (or still supports) increasing H1B visas by a multiple. Has he yet renounced that and said H1B Visas should be reduced to near-zero until that outrage is cleaned up?

Then there's the large donors he depends on. The guy I donated to promised to depend on small donors. And now there's that slick campaigning for money. I asked one of the ubiquitous phone solicitors...they're PAID, not volunteer!

So, as I stated, questions keep mounting. This latest one, where Cruz said "Trump won't be the nominee" sounded more like Kasich and the other lapdogs than the outsider we want as President. What I most recently commented about is someone mentioned that Cruz never said he'd send home invaders. I don't mean position papers, I mean loud and clear for everyone to hear.

So, if you follow through, I didn't have many concerns to begin with, I thought he'd be the best "outsider" candidate, now I'm not sure he "gets it" with the US we old folks want to go back to!

LOL, what do you Trump people expect a man who’s running for president to say? “I’m just running back and forth across the country for my health-—I’m never going to win! It’s going to be Trump!”

You ought to wake up to reality. Cruz is running, and so is Trump. If it should eventually come down to the two of them, they’re going to go after each other. That’s called a presidential race.

My point, which I maintain, is that you’re being disingenuous when you say that your “concerns” about Cruz keep mounting. Going all the way back to the summer, you’ve been anti-Cruz, stating your problems with just about every move he made.

What’s increasing is your worry about the fact that he’s coming up in your mirror.

Yours is a sensible response.

I would be comfortable with either as a candidate.
