Republican race promises to shift rapidly in final 2 months before Iowa caucuses
Washington Times ^ | 11/29/15 | Seth McLaughlin

Donald Trump still holds a lead in the Republican presidential polls in Iowa, but Ben Carson is fading and Sen. Ted Cruz is catching up fast as the first-in-the-nation caucuses prepare for another wild finish.

Four years ago at Thanksgiving, it was former House Speaker Newt Gingrich who had climbed to the top of the polls, unseating pizza baron Herman Cain who dropped out of the race altogether. Former Sen. Rick Santorum, the eventual Iowa winner, was languishing in the low single digits.

It is a reminder of how fast things can change as the candidates jockey for position heading into the Feb. 1 caucuses.

{”The mainstream media would rather have Cruz in there instead of Trump.”}

They are going after Trump. If Cruz gets on top, they will
go after Cruz.

GOPe and MSM hate Trump and Cruz the most.

The media and GOP are completely stumped over Trump’s appeal. They just don’t get it! People are tired of voting the same old talking heads that end up wimping out on us. Trump soundly pounces on every issue they throw at him and stays on his course. Mind you not their course, but his own that resonates with those that like what he says! Trump On!

I am pulling for Cruz, but really any of the Republicans would be better than the Vermont socialist or the one that rides a broom.

They have to have Cruz in there to get Jeb to win to run against Hillary to give Hillary the White House...it’s called the Road Map to give Hillary the White House....

No matter who wins Iowa, unless somebody new emerges in the next debate and gets people behind him, the GOP candidate is going to be Bush.

No, they’re doubling the normal dose, and adding a hit of mescaline. Just to be sure.

I tend to agree with your opinion.

The question is, who will Republican primary voters support?

I think most will vote for Trump.
Some think Cruz could get the nomination. I don’t.

He might win Iowa. I don’t think Trump will win Wisconsin. It will likely go to Rubio. I like Trump, but I don’t think he’d win WI in the general. Just a prediction.

Rick is such an awesome guy. His biggest problem this time is that his supporters remember that he bailed out before Pennsylvania, and conceded the race to Romney. It’s very upsetting even now thinking about it, as all of Rick’s issues dropped off the table the moment he withdrew. Bob

I think that Donald will do himself in, ultimately. And Cruz will win. This mocking of the idiot NYT guy was a stunning unforced error.
BTW, Donald has my vote and support if he does win the nomination.

It has a fleeting psychological value.

If Trump comes in 2nd, the scumbag media will have a field day.

But New Hampshire comes so quickly after Iowa that the leftist celebration will be shat on like bricks from a high rise.

The GOPe and DNC wants Jeb to win and give the Election to Hillary...that’s the Road Map they designed for Jeb and Hillary...The problem is, they can’t get rid of Trump and he’s throwing everything in the air...and he has the biggest supporter base....
