Obama’s Legacy at Stake in Paris Talks on Climate Accord

WASHINGTON — At a joint news conference here Tuesday with President François Hollande of France, President Obama veered from his focus on the terrorist attacks in Paris to bring up the huge international gathering beginning in the French capital on Monday to hammer out a global response to climate change.

“What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children,” Mr. Obama said of the climate conference.

The segue brought mockery, even castigation, from the political right, but it was a reminder of the importance Mr. Obama places on climate change in shaping his legacy. During his 2012 re-election campaign, he barely mentioned global warming, but the issue has become a hallmark of his second term.

And on Sunday night he arrives in Paris, hoping to make climate policy the signature environmental achievement of his, and perhaps any, presidency.

The New York Times and other left-wing intelligentsia desperately searching for their savior's lasting legacy.

It looks like it'll be 'fixing' a non-existent problem.

Legacy?

Here's the lasting 0bama Legacy:

The only “stake” I want to see is one driven right through the heart of Omuslim’s legacy of death and destruction for America.

Obama’s “legacy” will come from the historians in the future who will be exploring the destruction of the greatest nation ever known. Pimping “climate change” isn’t going to mean jack.

While these idiots whine about global warming, many scientists are predicting a repeat of the Little Ice Age that ended in the seventeenth century.

What legacy?

I would love to see a President Trump expose all the crap that has gone on for the past 8 years for the world to see.

I would tell Occidental, Columbia and Harvard to release Obama's records...or forget any federal money for the next 8-16 years.

Is global warming really the biggest issue facing civilization today??? Will ISIS be shocked and awed into peaceful coexistence when they see Obama and other world leaders standing together to fight global warming?,,Will ISIS examine their own carbon footprints???

Is global warming really the #1 threat when there are so many Muslim terrorists who want to chop off our heads? Does global climate matter to you if you are headless???

I’d venture to say a negative legacy is a more common thing than a positive legacy. Obama will join at the head of the line, a group of presidents which would include Wilson, Harding, LBJ, Nixon, and Carter. Even in this list of mediocrity you can find some good points and actual accomplishment. Not so with Obama. Nothing that he has done has worked out to the benefit of working America.

Oh, I’d say that his legacy is just about cemented by now. A legacy of:

The worst race relations in 40 years
An unsustainable economy mired in entitlements
A military in relative decline
Permanent damage to US energy economics
A world with five times the “no-go” zones than when he took office
A country more Balkanized than...the Balkans!
A health care system more expensive and yet somehow worse than ever
A good part of a generation lost in whiny self-absorption

I feel sorry for the Republican who will have to make the hard, unpopular choices required to undo what can be undone.

” Not so with Obama. Nothing that he has done has worked out to the benefit of working America.”

I actually have ONE SINGLE good thing to say about Obama. He has awarded a good, and well-deserved number of Congressional Medal of Honor medals and this seems to be the only time when he is capable of rising to the office and acting Presidential.

Well, that gives the progressives one chance to out perform Obama with Queen Hillary. I can’t believe she would bother herself with honoring a military person. Huma might suggest some jihadis to be honored for taking out the greatest number of American and allied soldiers and civilians.

Worried about his "legacy?"

He is on his way to Hell itself. That should be his primary concern.
