Some lady on Fox “Out Numbered” now calling Trump a “despicable person” for making fun of a disabled person. Dr. Manny Alvarez defending him, but the ladies are having none of it. Fox truly in the bag against Trump - no fair analysis of this or other situations perceived as being against “political correctness.”
Saw the video, and can not say with 100% certainty he was. Still, often perceptions are more powerful than reality. I think this one hurts the Donald more than he reaiizes.
I have seen a video of the reporter being interviewed. He has a deformed and paralytic looking hand, but is not spastic like Trump was nor slurry speeded like Trump. This accusation is a real stretch.
Only if you, and others on this board and elsewhere, allow the fact that the reporter himself reported on the celebrations in 2001. Serge lied to smear Trump.
If we, the conservatives, allow any schmuck with a grievance card to lie about us at will, we deserve to lose big time.
They had an affair?
What is the big deal of making fun of a reporter, and poor reporter at that. So what, the guy is a cripple with and damn big lying pen and Trump called him out and made fun of him. Poor, wittle reporter! Please, this is the guy who stalked the Palins to point of moving next door to them. The Palins had to build a wall to protect their privacy.
Has America become so pussified?
Really?
Give them Hell Trump! Give the Hell Cruz! Just give them Hell! And if America can't take it, the Hell with her.
If we, the conservatives, allow any schmuck with a grievance card to lie about us at will, we deserve to lose big time.
Not arguing that point at all. The point you are avoiding, is that that the "perception" of mocking a disabled person is not going to go over well with the "middle" and the "low information" voter. That is a line that just isn't crossed by any politician with any sense at all.Trump has done well with the teflon act with previous mis-steps. This one is going to stick. Fair or not, the MSM has finally gotten some blood and like sharks they are circling.
“I watched the clip of Trump talking about the reporter and there was zero indication he knew who he was personally”
Exactly. Only the anti-Trump people participating in yellow journalism right along with the nyt will think otherwise.
Will the “middle” and the “low information” voter remember this next November?
Another Trump obit being written. . . .how many is that now?
Lost count. . . .

I get your point and hope you’re correct. I also hope that a photo never appears of Trump and the reporter which I am certain they are feverishly looking for.
Let's see if we can find a safe space for you to walk it off.
One cannot fight the perception game without going full bore LOUD on the original sin, which is the lie. Trump has already stated he did not know the reporter.
If we want to stand a chance, politically, we cannot cater to being non-offensive. If we get accused unjustly, stand up and return fire. Failing to do so offends the majority that is disgusted with the grievance card industry.
Saw the video. Another win for President Trump.
Happy Thanksgiving douche.
That's exactly right. That approach cost GWB his reputation and legacy as even conservatives now see him as a feckless lightweight who never should have been put in office.
Some here see Trump's aggressiveness as being "thin-skinned" but it's actually the opposite. He can take an enormous amount of abuse but he can also dish it out ten-fold.
Someone who fights back...how refreshing.
You don't think this would be included in montage of a campaign ad next year? We know how the dims play dirty.
You really think this event helps the Trump candidacy? Wow....
I'll have to call B.S. on that one. The people are fed up with political correctness and having to walk on eggshells all the time - more than you probably know.
Most Americans realize that being condescending towards disabled people, as though they were helpless children who need our protecting, is actually very insulting to them. Most disabled people want to be treated as equal human beings. Sure, you will have some of them hide behind their disability and seek differential treatment as "victims" but that is not the norm.
By the way, we need to adopt the same mindset with race relations. So long as white people condescend to blacks and put them on welfare and food stamps in the hopes that they will stay penned up in their ghettos, we will never have a truly racist free society. So long as white people lower standards for blacks, be it admission to college, exams for firefighters, and other "affirmative action" policies, the black people will never be the equal of white people.
The best way to improve race relations is to treat black people exactly like white people. No preferential treatment. The freedom to succeed AND the freedom to fail.
Same goes with people who are disabled. Stop treating them with kid gloves. Don't treat them like they are precious snowflakes who cannot fend for themselves.
I see Donald Trump doing far more for disabled people and black people than any president before him.
I’ll take that as a compliment!
