Why Can’t We Talk About Islam Honestly?
The Federalist ^ | 11/25/2015 | David Harsanyi

Islam is not a race. Islam is not an ethnicity. Islam is a religion and a political philosophy. And it is distinct from other religions and political philosophies.

Pointing this fact out does not make a person obsessed with hatred or racism. A Muslim might hold moderate views or he might hold extreme ones. If we act as if the color of people's skin rather than their beliefs define them, we're engaging in a curiously narrow-minded discussion about one of the world's great faiths -- one that is comprised of all races and many ethnicities.

Yet this is exactly the formulation many on the Left demand.

I bring this up after reading Charles Blow's latest overwrought piece, in which he wishfully contends that "Anti Muslim is Anti America." Conflating a bunch of insane Trumpisms and GOP overreactions with completely legitimate concerns about illiberalism within Islam, Blow asserts we should put "a lid on this corrosive language." What he means is that we should accept his ahistorical interpretation of what America and Islam means—though he gives no indication that he comprehends either.

It's hardly un-American to believe that the foundational values of your society are preferable to the ones that make Yemen or Iran or Pakistan possible. We could spend days exploring the crimes committed against liberalism and decency by moderate Islamic nations without ever touching on the topic of ISIS or al-Qaeda. These crimes transcend ethnicity and race, but they all have something in common. Something we're not supposed to talk about.

When it comes to terror, the equation is even clearer. Mollie Hemingway does an excellent job highlighting the dangers of Hillary Clinton-style denialism on this front. Nowadays, even making a distinction between "radical" and moderate elements within Islam is an act of Islamophobia.

Or’black racism?

Or black on black violence?

Or the sham of family court and domestic violence towards men?

Or the entire race baiting industry?

Or faux global warming?

You know why, we all do.

Why can’t we talk about islam honestly?

For the same reason numerous subjects are off limits. It’s because the left made it politically incorrect.

Islam is a religion and a political philosophy. …
Omit claims of it being a religion and the discussion becomes truly honest.

Correction: islam is not a religion; it is indeed a geopolitical death cult and hence not entitled to First Amendment protection. It is hoped that in the near future, the courts will so rule and we can then extirpate this evil from our beloved country.

It’s not a religion, it’s a political system under the guise of religion.

Seriously, it’s because they are good buyers of products advertised in the media.
And, being a coherent pressure group, they are likely to challenge a TV stations license renewal.

The Liberal approach to everything:

“Let’s have an honest discussion in which you shut up and listen to me lecture you about how I am 100% right and you are 100% wrong.”

Sure we can. Islam is a 7th century death-cult founded by a paedophile.

The future must not belong to those who deny the true nature of Islam.

John Quincy Adams on Islam

In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.

Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant; nor can it cease but by the extinction of that imposture, which has been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. It is, indeed, amongst the mysterious dealings of God, that this delusion should have been suffered for so many ages, and during so many generations of human kind, to prevail over the doctrines of the meek and peaceful and benevolent Jesus (Blunt, 1830, 29:269, capitals in orig.).

Some, like Obama, hate Christian values and prefers to use Islam as a wedge against Christians.

Some enjoy pandering to the wealth and power associated with Islam.

Some, like Obama, hate Jews and prefer to use Islam as a wedge against Israel.

Some, like Obama, hate Western values, and will use anything to undermine them.

We are discouraged from talking about Islam because it cannot stand up to scrutiny.

To talk honestly about Islam is to talk about its destruction which is when the ‘genocide’ accusations begin.

Here’s the thing: if we are afraid of “pushing moderate Muslims toward ISIS,” we are basically admitting that they are one hurt feeling away from blowing up. That says a lot.

BECAUSE WE’LL ALL NEED TO ADMIT IT IS ABOUT ****ETHICS**** SYSTEMS!!!

For liberals, this analysis would open a Pandora’s box they don’t want to touch with a ten-foot pole!!!!

You’d have to break down all ideologies and examine what manifests out of them and why. In this analysis you won’t be able to avoid consequences of human behavior and what brings prosperity vs. poverty, both material and joy of life.

It is much easier to say “Crusades” and “all religions are basically the same” and confuse the issue. (we also need to expose what the Crusades were really, defensive wards liberals should be glad happened.)

Judeo-Christian ethics and Islamic ethics (Sharia) are opposing forces. Importing them is like cultural suicide by a thousand cuts. At some point they demand their law. It’s insanity to import it, all you need to do is look at Europe.

Analogy: dynamite -> The average Muslim is the dynamite, it won’t go off without a fuse. The fuse are the Jihadis, as each attack happens the fuse is burning, as the native population makes the rest of the Muslims (dynamite) feel “uncomfortable” due to the attacks, as Mulsims now consider Islam to be “under attack” they all join in (dynamite explodes). This is what comes with Islam, everywhere it goes. The verdict is in. So again, why import it? It’s a cultural bomb.

I just posted an article from Salon that is an interview with Sam Harris.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3365082/posts

For part of it, he talks about how the “regressive left” is refusing to see that all religions aren’t the same, and that there are specific teachings in Islam that make it murderous. He admits much that the Left typically doesn’t about Islam.

Then for another part of the interview, he predictably attacks belief in God and focuses on what children are taught as the solution for raising a future generation, which he hopes is the next one, to be atheist.
