Notable atheist Richard Dawkins set off a Twitter firestorm Tuesday when he posted a comparison of the "Clock Kid" to an Islamic State child terrorist.
Dawkins' controversial post came after news broke that Ahmed Mohamed and his family are suing the city of Irving, Texas, and the boy's former school for $15 million over his arrest following Ahmed's decision to bring a "homemade clock" to school that resembled a bomb. Tweeting a link to an article regarding an Islamic State child terrorist executing a grown man by beheading, Dawkins said, "'But he's only a kid.' Yes, a 'kid' old enough to sue for $15M those whom he hoaxed. And how old is this 'kid'?"

He’s about to get a dose of reality that the modern Left is more anti-Christian than they are atheists
The veil of deception lifted ever so slightly? An atheist gets a glimpse of what life might behold for them once Christians and Jews are eliminated from the planet and mooslims rule the roost.
Again and again nobody to root for. Erdogan/ Putin. ISIS/Al Qaeda. Sunni nuts/ Shia nuts. Yale/Harvard. Life is hard for me these days being a conservative for 50 years and no willingness to change my views for a thrill running down my leg.
Even A stopped clock bomb is right twice a day.
I hear ya. I came across a video the other night with black militants humiliating a feminazi. Uncomfortable feeling. Uncomfortable alliances like in WWII. Still, when people like Maher and Dawkins take on the Muslims, I do applaud that at least on that level they make sense. Just as I did when Hitchens took on the same or slammed the Clintons.
Lol!
Other leftists categorize ISIS as not really being Islamic in order to protect Islam from being associated with the evil ISIS does.
How long before they will try to rationalize that ISIS is a Christian movement?
Liberals are in for a wake up call so big, they might not survive it.
ought to hang the kid and whatever scum lawyer took his case. not kidding.
Ironically, the “stopped clock” analogy applies here.
They are worried about global warming, micro aggressions, safe spaces, cake baking, and misappropriation of culture. Muslims, on the otherhand, are not as troubled by these things.
The headline overstates what Dawkins said. He wasn’t so much critiquing the kid as he was saying that a ten year-old kid is quite capable of doing horrible things and that - by implication - police and school officials were correct in taking seriously the idea that the kid might have constructed a bomb.
On how I miss Hitch! There has been no one to fill his shoes.
I’m glad to see he at least has sense in this regard.
And among the facts most news reports of the clock boy ignore:
* he took the clock to multiple classes and was only reported to authorities when he refused to answer a teacher’s questions as to what it was
* his older sister had gotten in trouble for bomb threats when the family lived in another state
* his father is an activist, and argued in a mock trial against Terry Jones that it should be illegal to defame Islam - not a freedom supporting family
* this incident was in Irving, only miles from the Garland attempted shooting at the Everyone Draw Mohamed contest, only a few months after the shooting
Finally a good use for him.
I fear the city and school district will not want to go court and will settle.
Did he close with ‘Go Trump!’ :)
BTTT!
I really miss Hitchens, too. He wasn’t right about everything, but he always made his case with intelligence. Never boring even when I couldn’t always follow every one of his references and big words. :)
