Fox News host Megyn Kelly paused a guest from commenting Tuesday night when she noticed an âextraordinary momentâ occurring live on TV during coverage of protests against the Chicago Police Department.
âI just want to jump in. I just want to jump in as we are seeing an extraordinary moment,â she said. âLook whatâs happening here.â

“I am pleased the cop was so calm. One of the talking heads is saying it is the kids right to silently protest....sure, but not staring in someoneâs face.”
This is not the type of situation that the authors of the First Amendment intended to protect.
If these thugs/jerks believe this type of behavior is drawing sympathy to their “cause”, they’re coming up a tad short, IMHO.
If he did that to me, I’d be piling in momma jokes until he cracked.
“Is it legal to intimidate a police officer in a silent protest?”
Is it legal? It’s a fundamental right. And if the Chicago Police were honoring their oaths to the Constitution then they would not be carrying out summary executions and then trying to cover them up with the warrantless seizure of video evidence and then following it up with the criminal destruction of that same evidence.
I have absolutely no problem with this.
I have done this myself. I was at a TEA Party protest in front of the Supreme Court when Obamacare was being decided. We were lined up on our side of the barricade and about 20 police officers lined up on the other side, about twenty feet back.
Of course, since it was a TEA Party protest, we were all following the law, and police protection was not necessary. But they have their procedures, and I understand that. Anyway, I wound up directly across from a young police officer, who stood their at parade rest, with his mirror sunglasses, staring straight at me. So I stared back at him, for a good ten minutes. Finally he looked away.
They can only intimidate you if you agree to be intimidated.
Ms. Kelley should unclench over this one. This is routine behavior at any protest.
“This is not the type of situation that the authors of the First Amendment intended to protect.”
Yes, it is. And those men, British subjects at the time, not only stared down the British Army that was acting as a police force, they aimed their rifles at that police force and they opened fire.
If the Founding Fathers were around today they’d not only be disappointed at how much freedom and liberty we’ve ceded to government they’d be asking us why we weren’t shooting yet.
I’m not saying we need to shoot anyone, but if someone got shot and killed merely for staring at a police officer then I am immediately willing to change my mind.
Looking at a cop is not a crime.
Extraordinary moment - horsecrap. A street thug getting major camera time from the idiot media. So sick of these useless pukes. I left the room. The country is packed with dullards and subhumans, with more on the way. Not much hope left for this country - or the world for that matter.
You are new, so I won’t remark on what your intentions might be. But, the only mistake the cop made, maybe because of other disturbances might have, he blinked, took his eyes off the turd and didn’t go nose to nose.
The kid was a little squirrely. He would not have been able to sustain it for long. But the cop never really engaged.
Kids these says have the attention span of a gnat.
It was a shame that Chicago’s finest could not pass the officer some cloves of garlic to chew and exhale vigorously into the face of that a$$clown staring at him at close range.
The kid didn't budge and the cop got REAL squirmy, albeit never losuing his grip
If the n hadn't had his mama figger come in, he'd still be there and probably exploded on the cop because he would have been inwardly supported by the observation of the cop's nervousness
n's are controlled by the p's ... according to Huey P Newton .. 1968
Wonder why they don’t riot when a 6 year old girl is shot in a drive-by? What a bunch of hypocrites!
N’s? Really?
Mama figger? Really?
And you’re calling me an ass?!?
If Fox dropped this marxist propagandist, he'd be back in obscurity immediately...or at least till CNN or PMSNBC picked him up.
Imagine having (and paying) homegrown Nazi propagandists and apologists during WW2 beaming their sick ideology into American homes every day and every night through the radio media of the time to convert and recruit, all in the interest of "fairness" and "balance", of course. It would have been subversive and alarming....and dangerous to security on the home front.
However, the media is fostering the same dangers today by featuring, financing and fostering radical anti-Americans like Fowler. In fact, Fox and all the other network and cable media each have a stable of well-paid subversives, communists, socialists, neo-fascists and race-baiters whom they foist on us day after day, night after night.
We have met the enemedia....and it is sabotaging us. Well-organized propaganda, conversion and recruiting via the willing media continues apace, especially targeted to the low-info voters who live in Watters World.
EVERYTHING, EVERY EVENT, EVERY INCIDENT is magnified and played up today by the radical left in the media today because it is focused on ONE THING ONLY...and that is winning the next election and enhancing and tightening its power and control over us.

And silently intimidating a cop is a mime.
Officer exercised remarkable self-control and a woman stepped in to de-escalate the situation. Very good. Let it go.
Sorry to say that is part of the job as Police officer.
I am fairly sure that most here on FR would not want to have some one in their face trying to start something, but as PINAC has shown it goes both ways some times.
The LEO should just keep looking around and do his job with the full intent that if MR. Stare you down.. makes contact that he gets a nice set of bracelets quickly.
I agree with your observations there. You’re right on target. (as usual)
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
