This includes the inflation gauge that the Fed watches, the PCE. The fact that numbers for Oct. are just a fraction of a percent annually should mean no hike in Dec., but nobody really knows what the Fed's doing anymore...

Just like we hoped, another nowhere day w/ stocks!  Good morning before Turkey Day and what's neat about yesterday's flat outcome was it came after a "bullish positive reversal" --er, it went down and then up.  Futures got metals up +0.49%  and indexes +0.19%.  Here's the full econ report scoreboard for today (--actually for the week as after today Friday is just a 1/2 day of trade):

7:00 AM   MBA Mortgage Index -3.20%
8:30 AM   Initial Claims -
8:30 AM   Continuing Claims -
8:30 AM   Personal Income -
8:30 AM   Personal Spending -
8:30 AM   PCE Prices - Core -
8:30 AM   Durable Orders -
8:30 AM   Durable Goods -ex transportation -
9:00 AM   FHFA Housing Price Index -
10:00 AM   Michigan Sentiment - Final -
10:00 AM   New Home Sales -
10:30 AM   Crude Inventories -
12:00 PM   Natural Gas Inventories -

My expectations are for lots of new news after the pundits post their 'reasons' for what comes out...

There lies,

then then there are damned lies,

but worst of all,

there is statistics. For they turn the truth into lies.

It serves a purpose.

“The news says that incomes are up.”

“Funny, I don’t feel that in MY paycheck.”

“Well, it must have all gone to that EEEEEVIL 1% again.”

“My gosh, you must be right. Time to vote for Bernie.”

0’S FUZZY MATH AT WORK.

I do the grocery shopping all food prices are up. This Thanksgiving the Kroger brand Turkey is in short supply, supposedly Bird Flu. While the Butterball, the much more expensive brand has a full case no one is buying. Hams are NOT on sale this year. Eggs are up nearly a $1 over last year. Margarine now cost what Butter cost or more. Paper products have tripled or more in price. That roll of TP is no longer cheap and has less sheets per roll. Milk is $4 a gallon even at the Military Commissary. 93% fat hamburger is nearly $7 a lb. All beef is out the roof price wise. Pork is not far behind, followed by chicken. Even fish is expensive and it’s frozen, not fresh. Cereal is $3 or more a box. Bread is $3 for name brands. And seniors get NO COLA raise in 2016 nor do Ret. Military. Medicare will get a raise, as did our co-pays for medicine as Ret. Military over 65 on Tricare Life.

Yeah. For some reason that song seems a lot funnier to me today than way back in the days when I was an SDS Democrat.

This is true, yet some criticize WalMart shoppers trying to find the bargains. There are some, but you have to hunt & compromise in some cases.

Unexpected Surge In Auction Demand For 7 Year Treasury
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-11-25/unexpected-surge-auction-demand-7-year-treasury
“Overall, the strong auction provided a lift for the longer end of the curve, which as a result of today’s auction is set to flatten the 2s30s even more, thus making an even bigger mockery of the “Net Interest Margins are rising” thesis.”

That roll of TP is no longer cheap and has less sheets per roll.

The TP is at least 1/4 inch narrower than it used to be. The 'cheap' brands have larger center tubes, too, but the same diameter roll.

True, and they are THINNER too, you stick your fingers through them, and get all that yuck all over your fingers, and have to hobble over to the sink to wash it off before you can pull up your underwear or pants.

Well, that way you use more sheets and plug up your toilet or sewer lines because it just doesn't flush enough.

Between food inflation and TP inflation, they get you coming and going.

You got that right, between no COLA raise in 2016, raise in co-pays this year, cuts to Medicare/Tricare Life, our property taxes are going up in 2016.

Yet there is NO INFLATION? PURE DUMBO BS.
