Obama always claims he found out about scandals from the "news". He only ramps up the fight against ISIS, when the media's reporting makes it obvious that the group is still a problem. So he has an obvious solution.
If the media would just stop covering ISIS, it wouldn't be a problem.
“The media needs to help in this,†he said, admitting that it has been a “difficult week,†with the threat posed by ISIS becoming a primary focus in the media.
“One of the things that has to happen is how we report on this has to maintain perspective, and not empower in any way these terrorist organizations or elevate them in ways that make it easier for them to recruit or make them stronger,†he said.
We shouldn't "focus" on ISIS. Instead let's call them a JV team and let them take over Iraq. That worked for Obama last time.
But then the media reports on Yazidi genocide and suddenly Obama looks stupid and has to pretend to bomb ISIS. Or ISIS massacres a whole bunch of people in Paris and then Americans start to be "afraid" and then Obama has to pretend to bomb ISIS some more.
Can't we all just pretend to agree that ISIS doesn't exist?
That means no reporting on ISIS. If you are about to be killed by ISIS, please don't call the police. That will just perpetuate the cycle of violence since we all know fighting terrorists, just creates more terrorists. And if we all commit to pretending ISIS doesn't exist, it'll instantly be defeated because its real motivation is to get Americans to hate Muslims. At least that's what the media says.
So boys and girls, close your eyes and repeat after me, "There's no ISIS, There's no ISIS, There's no ISIS."
But there's just one problem with Obama's plan. If the media stops reporting on ISIS and it carries out a terrorist attack in America, how will Obama ever find out it took place?
Certainly not from the intelligence analysts.

Separately, a former Pentagon official told Fox News there apparently was an attempt to destroy the communications. The Pentagon official said the email warnings were "not well received" by the analysts.

Was Rorty of the Critical Theory school? I had a high school friend who went to Harvard Law. We had long debates and he was always pushing Rorty’s legal writings on me. I don’t remember much about Rorty’s writings except that I couldn’t figure out what his first principles were, although I suspected that he was a Marxist.
The insanity, induced by this chronic mental disease known as liberalism, manifests and proves itself on a daily basis.
Media does NOT make events or issues, they report on them.

I believe Rorty was Critical Theory yes. But honestly, it has been a long time. I got the PhD in Educational Philosophy and then worked as a Library Cataloger. So I read all these subjectivist and existentialist and then worked in probably the most non-subjective and non existential area there is in academia.
That said, I always enjoyed reading Rorty because, unlike Heidegger and Dewey his points were clear and well reasoned. He also didn’t seem to inject personal politics into his writings or if he did I didn’t notice. Even when I disagreed with him I could appreciate the argument. His book “Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature” was a pleasure to read and highly recommended.
A pretty good overview of the growth of Post Modernism can be found in the works of the late Francis Schaeffer. Although he puts an evangelical Christian spin on it he provides a pretty good summary of the development of post modernism even for a non-Christian.
Try his book “How Should We Then Live” I don’t think it is in print so try a used book store. This book was also produced into a series of films and is available on You Tube for free though they are a bit dry.

That is so dangerously deluded, a functional Constitutional system would have removed him by now.
You deserve a medal for all of that reading. After finally arriving at Scholasticism, I lost what little patience I had for modern philosophy. I read several of Copleston’s volumes in his “History of Philosophy,” which dealt with more modern philosophy. They were readable, but they’re not the same as primary sources.
And if we close our eyes nobody will see us.

It's pretty obvious they don't like being challenged on what they believe. It's crazy, many in our media is getting just as insane as 0bama has been demonstrating.
I emailed one of the news directors with many concerns, including why there is so many liberals on their comment sections, since that was so proportianly incorrect for our state (conservatives far outnumber liberals) and while he responded, it was crickets on all of my concerns. It wouldn't surprise me they game their own comment sections in order to try to shape the news to fit their leftist agenda. When they didn't like all that opposition to the muslim refugees, like true little leftist tyrants, they took the comment sections down.
