David Canary, who for nearly three decades played the twin brothers Adam and Stuart Chandler on the ABC soap opera All My Children, has died. He was 77.

That’s a joke told by Michael Landon when Johnny Carson mentioned how it was all men on the Ponderosa and no women.
On All My Children he was a super rich guy so of course he played polo. In Nevada at the Ponderosa had the wrong saddles and boots for polo. ;)
That was David Carradine, who is also dead.

First time I’d ever seen TV in color, late 60’s Bonanza. Color? Wow! Heh
Our first color TV was the ‘68 World Series.
I came home from school to watch the game and my dad had bought the TV without telling any of us.

No David Canary was on a few episodes as well playing the bad guy, one where he was trying to rob this traveling medicine woman.

Former Utah Governor Olene Walker dies at age 85. She was LT Gov when Bush put Mike Leavitt in the Cabinet, didn’t make it on to the primary ballot for the 04’ election.
Seems to be she was more conservative than Leavitt and certainly Huntsman and Herbert. RIP

My Mom was a die-hard All My Children fan, so I remember him as the mostly but not entirely villainous Adam Chandler.
I’m still pissed they cancelled it (along with OLTL). They briefly revived both for an online series. Canary appeared briefly in it (Susan Lucci did not), but he wasn’t looking well.
My mom watched it too, when I was a kid I’d sometimes watched a little with her. As I recall he played twins, one seemed evil and the other was like retarded or something.

Yes. Twins. The other twin, Stuart, wasn’t retarded, just a bit slow, but good natured (although infrequently he could “impersonate” Adam). He was accidentally killed off by his brother, but later apparently “resurrected.” Canary was quite skilled at playing the polar opposite characters.
