He clearly had a knife, was obviously ignoring commands, spun around in a violent manner and thus got shot. Boo hoo.
Didn't watch the video, did you? He was fifteen or twenty feet away from the officer, moving away from him, and didn't spin around until the bullets started hitting him.

You could say that in the hood anyone walking down the street could be a threat. So if you're acting on potential then you're back to shoot on sight.
In this case the victim was not moving towards the officer, or anyone else. He was twenty feet away and moving further away. Yes, he held a knife but if use of deadly force is to be the first resort instead of the last one then you might as well have the police shoot anyone who they think is suspicious.

Well yes, that's true. Seen any "knock out" videos or crime statistics lately? But in the context of a law enforcement: they're an even bigger threat if they're clearly high on drugs, are ignoring orders, combative, and flashing a weapon. I can totally understand why the cop would fire as soon as he saw the guy spin aggressively. Easily interpreted as a lunge.

I like to judge cop shootings by whether or not I could get away with the same shoot. I think it is pretty obvious that if I were in the same situation, then I would be charged with murder. And rightly so.
You've said that twice, but you haven't provided any evidence (any of the cops saying it, witnesses, whatever) that it is true. The video as far as I can tell does not show a hit causing the spin.
You must be blind then. He's hit, spins, and immediately falls where he's shot time and time again.
Just not seeing what you claim happens. If you have someone giving an official account of it, specifically saying the spin is caused by a hit, I'll believe it then, but not seeing it. Sorry.
Memo to blackliesmatter a-holes: Don’t resist arrest, disobey a LEO’s request or attack a police officer a la the “gentle giant” and you will not get a bullet in the a$$.

I watched the vid elsewhere. This punk was walking in the middle of a 4 lane highway after slashing tires of a cop car, brandishing a knife, and was stoned on PCP. I would like to see how many previous arrests he had but that won’t be revealed since he was 17. Killing him might have been overkill.
Yeah, and they paid the affixes family, if you can call it that, 5 million.
