The Democratic National Committee sent an email Tuesday to supporters with advice on how to talk to their Republican relatives during the holiday season, referring them to a website aimed at debunking right-wing talking points.
“It’s that time of year — full of food and fun and celebrating with family and friends. But we here at the DNC know that occasionally all that togetherness can lead to some … let’s call them ‘lively’ conversations about politics with one Republican uncle,” reads the email, sent by Luis Miranda, DNC communications director. “So I’m officially deputizing you to serve as a Deputy Democratic Spokesperson this holiday season — and giving you special access to all the facts you could ever want.
“We’ve designed a handy website with the perfect responses to all the most common right-wing talking points spouted by your family members who may spend a little too much time tuned into factually-challenged conservative talk radio,” the email reads.

In my daughter’s class (18 years old) the teacher asked those who planned on voting democrat “raise your hand”. Everyone did - except my daughter.
A classmate exclaimed “Oh God - you’re voting for Jeb Bush?”
“Hardly!! Ted Cruz is MY man!”
If she wasn’t so tough I might have her stage a sit-in to protest microagression or something.
In 6th grade she was the only one that didn’t “believe” in global warming. The science teacher told her (and us) that she should probably not be so vocal about it as she might get teased.
She did her science poster board on how manmade Global Warming was a farce. Got an A!
Why do we have to spend it fending off fools telling us how stupid and uniformed we are as they read verbatim from their DNC talking points?

However, NO political discussion of any kind is allowed. A warning will be issued upon first transgression but a second warning will mean dismissal. Immediate dismissal. No politeness, no equivocating. And no excuses or begging will be allowed. It has worked well so far.

Today was Day 1 with the FamDamily. I learned that Isis isn’t representative, and the murderers that shot at the Russian pilots were just moderate patriots doing the Lord’s work.
I remember election day 2008..my aunt and cousin called our house so they could gloat. They were chanting “Obama Obama” made my skin crawl. Now her health care bill has skyrocketed, so I told her “Karma’s a b*tch isnt it” and now she says NOTHING..she probably still loves Obama though, or will vote for Hillary Clinton..her sons are also flaming libtards. All three of them make over 250,000 a year, cheap as can be when it comes to giving presents at parties, but have NO problem giving a chunk load to the Govt

The last event I attended in which a Democrat was also allowed to attend, they were so poorly behaved that they deeply embarrassed their parents, got roaring drunk and obnoxious, and ended up both getting punched out and put in the drunk tank by the police after they exposed themselves to children.
While thereafter they were banished from polite company, they did serve as an abject lesson(1) to the young children of what happens when people are consumed by the seven deadly sins and become Democrats.

In my house we have an agreement. If the libs in the family don’t talk politics, we won’t call them idiots. We don’t even bother arguing. “You’re an idiot cousin Hal” and we let it go at that.
Good for you. Just as it should be. Why do Thanksgiving nod Christmas have to be political?!
