The "We support all refugees" rally is described by organizers as a peaceful protest against the ban on Syrian refugees.
It is scheduled from 1-4 p.m. outside at the Statehouse at East 9th Street and Grand Avenue.

I wonder how many “refugees” that each one of those protesters will personally put up into their own homes? Or, do they mean that they’re welcome in Iowa, just.... somewhere else, and not in their own homes?

We should allow as many refugees as there are people who are willing to house and care for them at their residences for a minimum of a year or until they’re self supporting.

That would be nice, except they are really not refugees..
They are similar to the rush of kids who got on those train cars and traveled through Mexico to the border of the US.
They came as the direct result of our state department passing around the news that they could.
Now this Syrian bunch have no doubt been infiltrated by scumbags. So if there were any actual refugees, it does not matter. We can’t take them or we should not.
Alas, it is what it is.
Besides that, who the hell decided we are obligated to take them?
