Thanksgiving: Are You Thankful That God Has Provided Free Republic?
It's a simple question. It can be answered immediately with a yes or a no.
If yes, then let me encourage you to support this site that offers you a chance to have your say unhindered by the establishment trolls found on most other websites.
Why thankful to God?
Of course, we're thankful first for His providing us with salvation, with abundant blessings, with families, with freedom to practice our faith.
But, you know, and I know that Free Republic does not infringe on any of those blessings but actually enhances them. This is a pro-God, pro-small government website.
So, my friends, it is Thanksgiving and we're thankful for so much, and that includes thankfulness for Free Republic. If we weren't, we wouldn't be posting and debating day after day to influence the direction of this country, so that those blessings of liberty remain for us and our posterity.
That fight must extend to preserving your voice here on Free Republic, because that voice gets heard in the larger world. Free Republic is REGULARLY cited, or obviously heeded, by movers and shakers in media, politics, business, and the military.

Big Cable Mega-Mergers Are Challenging to One America News Network and Independent Programmers
Friends of One America News Network and independent programming sources:
We need your help. Independent news sources such as One America News Network further inform our citizens and protect our democracy. A mega-cable merger is about to take place unless the FCC hears your voice. Charter Communications, a company that has filed bankruptcy multiple times in the last 10 years, is preparing to acquire two competitors, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. In this case, bigger isn't better. Charter Communications has a history of offering unfavorable and anti-competitive terms to independent programmers and flatly refuses to carry One America News Network. To allow Charter to rapidly expand when it has had trouble simply running its own business and mistreats independent programmers isn't good for America.
We're not opposed to this mega-merger, at least not at this time. Instead, we are working hard to raise the awareness of the plight of independent programming services at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and throughout Washington, DC. We want Charter to take action to insure that family owned and independent programming networks such as One America News Network are treated fairly and protected.
The FCC wants to hear your comments on this mega-merger. This is your chance to make a difference and show your support for One America News Network.
There is a short and simple process to register your support of One America News Network directly to the FCC. Here's how:
