If the plane fell on Turkish side of the border then Turkey would have a case. They shot down a plane leaving their airspace and over Syrian airspace after the fact - if ever the Russian plane was in Turkish airspace.

If the plane was in Turkish airspace it was in the most remote part of it.

They should have let it go. The fact that they didn't says alot. Expect consequences.
