And you might want to revisit your definition of “the West”, on last count both the UK and France are working with Russia, not undermining therm like the (increasingly isolated) US.

That concerns me more long term than anything else. The us is being pushed back in every area by Russia, China, and now the EU. They world is rejecting US influence, and signing up to align with others. In short, we will be locked back to North America if this keeps up.

The US has always benefited from strong leadership, weak leadership leads to just such a marginalization.

I’m trying to remember if a NATO member has ever shot down a Soviet/Russian warplane (while piloted & flying under Soviet/Russian command).

I believe this is unprecedented.

heh...

All I have seen are “show votes” when it comes to this administration fighting ISIS.. or any muslim for that matter...

In the end the results are that WE are supporting ISIS indirectly and directly. I still remember the PR trip where McCain went to party with ISIS leadership.

WE are the bad guys here... and WE need to do something to stop this out of control element within the federal government... elected, appointed bureaucracy, appointed military leadership, and civilian military support... This has gone WAY to far... and Im sorry, but these people need to be stopped by any means necessary.

This is just incredible to me... I could not have imagined a world where WE, the USA, were the BAD guys.. Supporting the worst evils on this planet (islam)... and the RUSSIANS!!! of ALL countries!! were the SANE ones attempting to fight that evil. You can say what you want, it all comes out in the wash... The facts stand for themselves. the Russians are killing ISIS, and our “allies” are killing Russians because of it.

"American soldiers are going to die for obama’s muslim empire dreams. i think that would be reason enough for a revolution. Ergoden and Turkey can go to hell. i cant take it anymore. it makes me sick.

I totally agree with you on that.... I think the obummer is skating on the very edge of what America will tolerate....

The Russians have been assisting assad from the air to retake some land at the north western border from some Turkmen tribes. These are no jihadis,

These Turkmen's allaha akbar death chanting marks them as jihadis to me.

“Aye, fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And, dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!?!

Braveheart

Most of us on this board are over 40. I’m 47. It should be a time to enjoy family, for many, enjoy retirement, take trips, etc.

But we owe it to our children, nephews and nieces and grandkids to fight one more battle for their future.

Or this president WILL bring this country to its knees.

Correct on all counts. The fact is, whether we like it or not, Russia is operating inside Syrian territory and air space by the invitation of Assad, which currently heads the recognized government of Syria. Our own Obamunist regime may not like Assad, but Russia is operating legally inside that country.

More over, that Russian jet that Turkey shot down was (based on the newest reports) hit by those air-to-air missiles while INSIDE Syrian airspace (approximately 1 kilometer) and the plane came down inside Syria.

Stupid, STUPID move by our so-called NATO ‘allies’, because if Russia retaliates against Turkey, we are treaty bound (as are all NATO members) to come to Turkey’s defense.

This has the potential for getting way out of hand very quickly, and we have a trigger happy Turkish F-16 pilot to thank for it.

“Zerohedge quote sums it up:
“US-backed forces supported by Ankara and Riyadh are now using weapons supplied by Washington to shoot down Russian aircraft.”

1) The FSA’s Tows were supplied by Saudi Arabia from Saudi stock not by America. Google it.

1) Zero Hedge is a pro-Russian website. Google it.

You’ve been duped.

When it comes to killing ISIS, most everyone is Pro-Russian.

So are you saying that Zerohedge is wrong and the Saudis manufacture TOW missiles?

Why were the Russian turds flying in Turkey’s air-space? To get at Turkey’s Islamist terrorists that’s why.

TOW missiles are anti-tank, not anti-aircraft.

Range is listed at 3750 - 4200 meters.

Indicates to me that there is some BS being spewed by the “author” here.

Then that makes your fearless leader a cowardly liar.

I am saying Putin denies his warplane was ever in Turkey’s airspace.

Happened quite a few times actually. WW3 never started. Putin has a lot more personal wealth to lose than any Soviet leader ever did. He won’t be launching.
