Like it or not, Russia is on the right side of this thing. The U.S. is not.

I agree. So where was Putin’s “permission” to invade and annex a portion of Ukraine? You brought-up Libya, so let’s hear it.

Not to get involved in your dustup, as I am trying to get hard information in the rest of this thread -- but I'd suggest Putin's "permission" to invade and annex a portion of the Ukraine was ultimately due to whatever autof*llatory pig-f*cker persuaded the Ukraine to give up their nukes...

“Like it or not, Russia is on the right side of this thing. The U.S. is not.”

Putin now has EVERY excuse that he needs to declare a no-Fly Zone over Syria.

Turkey and Obama are getting increasingly aggressive in trying to save ISIS’s bacon. Putin could do the world a service by sending Erdogan a polonium cocktail.

It’s safe to say that the Russians are PISSED...
Putin to make live statement in the next few minutes.

Unconfirmed Twitter chatter says the Russians may have told the Turkish Embassy to close, and be out of the country within 24 hours.

The US does not support ISIS and never has. Only Russian trolls and their websites claim such. The intent is to ridicule the West’s efforts in order to substantiate Russia’s intervention and goals.

Turkey, Saudi and others supports ISIS. We’ve had unsuccessful discussions with the Turks regarding their cross-border support of ISIS. So it’s going to the next phase.

The Western allies are trying to protect the Kurds from ISIS, Turkey and Assad as they fight against all three.

‘The West’ has people inside Syria supporting actions against Assad and ISIS. Both of them are terrorist organizations intent on de-stabilization and regional conflict.

We are not on Turkey’s side wrt ISIS. We are on the Kurds’ and Iraq’s side to degrade and then defeat ISIS in northern Iraq.

I know, but this is not quite the same as wargames over the North Sea.
I know a lot on here probably think I'm a Putinist, but I'm not. I look on at the suffering that has been caused in Syria by this attempt to overthrow Assad - can anyone really be in any doubt that behind this is an un-holy alliance of Erdogan, the Saudi royals, and Obama? - and I know who frightens me the most right now.

All joking aside, this is a step to war.

Letting the Turks into to NATO made some some sense back in the day, but they have been a very poor ally. Russia has a grudge against Turkey dating back to 1454, and more recently the early 1900’s when they killed a large number of there coreligionists.

For years I have been curious of when Russia would restart their long term goal of retaking Constantinople. It appears that the Turks may have just handed them the justification. Honestly, I don’t think they will make a move yet, but this puts huge pressure on the West. Not to mention escalates the risk of NATO getting involved (though the Turks haven’t been the closest allies in the past, and have been positioning to go after Greece.)

“The US does not support ISIS and never has.”

Wrong. ISIS is the radical offshoot of Al-Qaeda. 0bama has been arming this group and encouraging it to topple governments in his Arab Spring initiate, which Syria was to be his last chapter. Thing is, ISIS got out of control, and became its own force for SUNNI muslim conquest.

0bama is on record supporting these people in his aim to topple Syria.

I am not a putinista or whatever you call folks that actually understand what is going on, and your attempt to ignore and rewrite history is nothing but blind allegiance to the 0bamna regime.

Russian Officials don’t refer to ISIS as “Obama’s Terrorists” in public, for nothing.

Apparently the Turkish army released a radar path of the jet showing it crossed a small sliver of Turkey. But how did anyone have time to send the warnings that Turkey said they sent?
