U.S. Constitution ^

Posted on 11/23/2015 10:25:19 PM PST by Jim Robinson

U.S. Constitution

Amendment XXV

Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Where is VJ?

Where is Mooch, the trumped up kids?

Jumping ship putting blame on Barry (ignorance is bliss).

They’re all guilty, and there is just one judge.

Proof. You think a fellow traveler is going to offer it? It’s coming down to put up or shut up time for we the people to swing this boat around. Against us is the whole Statist oligarchy, academia, media and culture organizations. Religion is buckling under the assault. It’s going to come down to the individual or the hive. Are we individuals that exercise our God given free will or slaves to the will of man.

> The State Department just issued a world wide travel warning. That is step one in the declaration of martial law, and cancellation of the 2016 presidential election.

Next they'll need a couple of big deadly attacks, stateside, to justify shutting down transportation within the U.S.

People will adapt to it, if it's done step-wise with just enough time in between steps. There's plenty of time before next November. They're probably planning how to let a couple of big "events" occur.

The only uncertainty I have is whether it'll be a big passenger plane downed over a city, or the explosion of a big crowded mall with a few thousand Christmas shoppers.

Bite-me has spent 45 years in office continuously working to bankrupt and destroy America.

A most salient point: Bathhouse didn't have the stones to make a political foreign policy pronouncement until he went on a meaningless trip to Asia. Politics used to "end at waterline". This guy is a symptom of a larger problem.

During the latter stages of Watergate, Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig took steps to be certain that Nixon would not be able to execute nuclear launch codes without some sort of confirmation from Haig, and Nixon was far from as unstable as Barky is. We see his delusional behavior each and every day.

Interesting. I did not know that (about Haig and Kissenger).

Just letting it hang out there.

Thanks, Jim. This is a balm to my eyes and sweet elixir for my brain. But a distinct problem for us right now arises in the first few words. Vice president. Even if were possible--say Harry Reid died or something--and we could get all of the correct language prepared for presentation to the current president of the United States, then the vice president shall immediately become president.

Seems to me that that's like letting Curly Joe become the First Stooge. It has been scary these seven years to listen to Slow Joe pronounce on anything. For that reason alone, I don't think the Constitutional process be worth invoking.
