Better to just take the controls back. Which we still have the power to do, if enough of us would simply realize it.
Isn’t it funny how Lincoln brings out the best - and the absolute worst in people? The lost causers can be nettlesome but they are basically toothless. ;’)
This is why we were given The Second Amendment.
No kidding. :-)
I’d like to share your optimism, but the controls don’t seem to respond.....
Not so sure many of are even making the attempt to grab hold of them.
Isn't it ironic that you can apply that term to anyone today that thinks that the federal government can be reined in and limited to its constitutional bounds?
I agree that Lincoln brings out the worst in people, such as, politicians who recognized Lincoln's victory as a the tool to eliminate states rights and form the all powerful, oppressive centralized federal government and posters on the internet who continue to applaud his criminal acts and stick to the revisionist history as taught in the federal government's indoctrination centers.
2014 proves that voting doesn't work. If you have a solution that will work lets hear that instead of empty rhetoric and hand wringing.
"American is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system and too early to shoot the bastards." Claire Wolfe
No, because that isn't accurate. It is the lost causers who spout the revisionism, hence the name. "States rights" would still be under attack even if the insurrectionists has succeeded.
The only states right that the slavers ever expressed an interest in was the state right to own other human beings (well, and the states right to dishonor their commitments).
Returning this gargantuan federal government to its constitutional limits is a Lost Cause.
Reining in executive power is a Lost Cause. Every president wants and gets more power, regardless of repub or dem. The current president that you voted for has even spoke of becoming a dictator.
Reining in judicial power is a Lost Cause. The courts have long been used to legislate from the bench. It's a tool used by both repub and dem.
My ancestors in 1860 were not obligated to commit to an unconstitutional government any more than I am obligated to commit to the current unconstitutional government.
Eternal vigilance is on the right track but he is either too naive to understand that returning the current federal government to its constitutional limits is a Lost Cause or he doesn't have the balls to say that the current federal government needs to be abolished and replaced with governments that are more suitable to the various cultures spread around the country.
The Second Amendment doesn't give you the right to keep and bear arms any more that a birth certificate gives you life.
The right to keep and bear arms and defend yourself against thugs and tyrants is a God given/natural law right. The 2A simply documents that and all other natural law rights.
I’m no fan of this current administration but how exactly is it ‘’unconstitutional’’? And just so you know I vote Republican.
“Can any of you seriously say the Bill of Rights would get through Congress today? It wouldn’t even get out of committee.”-—F. Lee Bailey
I’m glad the Constitution and Bill of Rights was written before we got such “smart” people in the District of Corruption.
The war in Libya with no authorization by Congress, and when they didn’t agree he decided to go against his legal advisors anyway (Constitutional Lawyer that he is NOT).
