Russian military are inscribing "For Paris" on bombs destined for targets in Syria, in solidarity with the victims of the attacks in the French capital.

A video posted online today by the Defence Minister also shows a member of ground crew writing "For Ours" on a bomb at Russia's Hmeymim airbase.

"Pilots and technicians of Hmeymim airbase have sent their message to terrorists by priority airmail," said a caption accompanying the post.

Maybe some propaganda reasoning behind, but still very cool.

Hell, we were allies in WWII.

Yes, Putin is a socialist intent upon reviving the Soviet Union.

But damn I wish he was our President instead of the Obamanation.

We have a hell of a lot more in common with Socialist Russians than with these ISIS scum.

Russians write “This is for Paris” on their bombs.
Americans send James Taylor to France to sing songs.

I’m starting to notice a subtle difference in strategies.

Don’t the Russians know they might anger terrorists?

Remember when our forces moral was so high that we did this kinda thing? One Navy Skyraider squadron even hung a broken toilet on a bomb rack and dropped it on them.

Now some JAG lawyer would put a stop to that.

Rumor has it that, back when it was the Soviet Union, a missile maintenance crew wrote “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” on the nosecone of an SS-18.

All a matter of perspective.

Americans send James Taylor to France to sing songs.

Haven't the French suffered enough this month?

At least the Russians know who the enemy is.

Can’t say the same for our government.

Our guys were probably writing “Good morning, Comrade” or “FU, Ivan!” on Minuteman nose cones. I visited Russia in early 1991 and once the vodka started flowing we would look across the table at our Russian hosts and we’d all start giggling about the fact that we survived those times without killing each other and leaving the f@#$ing Chinese to pick up the pieces. I don’t like what they’re doing in the Ukraine and every country that was under their thumb during the Cold War hates them with a passion, but on a person to person level the Russians are solid.

Our f’n president calls it a ‘setback’.

On the other hand, figuratively he’s writing ‘this is for the prophet’ on bombs dropped on middle east Christians.

Nice. They need to let it slip that they’re coating their bombs in pig fat too.
