Majority of Americans Feel Like ‘Stranger in Own Country’
Breitbart.com ^ | 20 Nov 2015 | Mike Flynn

A Super PAC tied to Ohio Governor John Kasich is announcing a new multi-million dollar effort to torpedo Donald Trump’s campaign for the Republican nomination.

Trump’s continued dominance of national and state-level polling has vexed the GOP establishment and pushed it to near-panic as voting nears.

A recent survey of public attitudes by Reuters/Ispos, though, suggests caution for the GOP establishment.

Whatever failings there may be in his specific policies, Donald Trump’s campaign has tapped into a strong, visceral feeling of millions of Americans. Seeking to destroy Trump the candidate may further alienate the Republican party from a rapidly growing block of voters.

According to the Reuters survey, 58 percent Americans say they “don’t identify with what America has become.” While Republicans and Independents are the most likely to agree with this statement, even 45 percent of Democrats share this feeling.

More than half of Americans, 53 percent, say they “feel like a stranger” in their own country. A minority of Americans feel “comfortable as myself” in the country.

...

Panic breeds actions born out of emotions rather than somber reflection. The Republican establishment is understandably panicked at the thought of Donald Trump capturing the party’s nomination for President. It is convinced, perhaps incorrectly, that a Trump candidacy will doom the party’s chances next year.

Its zeal to derail his campaign carries huge risks for the party, however. The Trump phenomenon is not simply the product of a media-savvy, hyper-personality candidate. It is drawing strength from very real sentiments of a huge block of voters. The Republican party may take out Trump, but it alienates these voters at its peril.

That the GOPe is at war with its own voting base demonstrates again why they are called “the Stupid Party”

I’m a Cruz guy.

But if the GOPe goes after Trump hard, I may have to switch to make sure we stick it to them.

I think that the gop establishment is worried that Trump may not only win the nomination, but also win the presidency. I’m sure they’ve already cut a deal with the dems, in exchange for being invited to all their cocktail parties, the gop will throw the election to the “historic female candidate” the way they threw the election to the “historic black candidate.”

GOPe would rather lose than win with the “wrong” voters.

I don’t feel like a stranger in my own country because the country in which I grew up is no longer here.

After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding
this to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our

An honorable mention also goes out to Lassana Bathily , a Muslim immigrant from Mali.
Mr. Bathily sheltered customers at the Jewish Deli and helped police by providing info
on the terrorists, and providing the location of survivors in the deli.

No one likes watching the culture they inherited and grew up in wiped out and replaced. In this case by far inferior cultural systems.

The real sin committed against this country is we’ve all been conditioned to believe this normal behavior is the worst crime one could commit.

The Republican party may take out Trump, but it alienates these voters at its peril.

I am one of those voters, certainly, as I suppose the majority of those here are.

Any Republican operative perusing these pages had better note: You will not have my vote for some milquetoast rino like Jeb Bush. I am not some brutha like on the dumblecrat plantation who will keep voting for you just because you promise me it will be better next time.

You guys have had 2 chances to go to war with Zerohissef and you whimpered and retreated both times. The only republican with any stones at all is Ted Cruz and you guys left him to hang and treated him like a piñata. I thought I was watching 99 dumblecrat Senators.

So be warned: I have been ignored and abused enough. I have watched you capitulate when you had victory in your grasp or at least had them on the ropes with a mandate from the country to DO something.

I have NO allegiance to the Republican party and as long as this regime is a lawless dictatorship, I owe it nothing. It ain’t happening again. You WILL listen to us and do it the way of the PEOPLE. Or you will pay.

That’s a promise not a threat.
