It’s easy to do a Google search of his books and then claim that you read them. You either don’t know much about Churchill or you are being deliberately obtuse.
Fiorina would be a very good president? A Churchill?
She’s actually been the worst Muslim propagandist and apologist of the all the GOP candidates.
No, Trump spoke first re: the Syrian refugees—back when it was leadership, rather than reactive.
I do agree that Trump and Cruz are #1 and 2 however. Really, we’ve no halfway decent options beyond them and I’m hoping for a Trump/Cruz ticket.
Gee, you want me to do a book report? On which one?
It's easier to claim that Trump is the new Churchill when you know nothing really about either man.
And while we’re at it, if I really wanted to lie about reading on Churchill then I imagine I’d claim to have read all six volumes of “The Second World War” or all four volumes of “History of the English Speaking Peoples”. That would have been more impressive. But unfortunately I haven’t.
I get your defensiveness though. You are not a fan of Trump and having him compared to Churchill (or Reagan) is like a kick in the stomach. Consider it a sign of our times that somebody like Donald Trump can be legitimately compared to great statesmen of our past. This is how far the nation has fallen with the Community Organizer in Chief - who a reasonable businessman wouldn't even hire as an entry level clerk.
No it's really a laugh riot.

Not really, it's just a sign of idiocy. I mean really, I've seen Fiorina compared to Margaret Thatcher, Ben Carson compared Joseph Mengele, Obama (and now Trump) compared to Hitler. And generally the comparisons are done by people who really don't know either. It's always a lame attempt at building someone up higher than they deserve or reduce them to a level lower than they really are.
Yes, Trump is telling us exactly what we want to hear.
And that should concern us.
Great descriptions of the candidates. I agree with his analysis.
Count Chocula Cruz, lol. Go Cruz; go Trump!
bfl
Many who are presently supporting Trump fully recognize Cruz's potential benefits; however, the Republican nominee needs to be able to win in the general election, not just the primary. There is where Trump can outsmart and outpull both Hillary or Bernie. Cruz is not going to have as much appeal in the general. If he serves in a Trump administration, he will be in the pipeline for 2020, and he will only be 48 years old then. He has a quarter-century ahead of him in which to run -- unless Republicans lose this election. We cannot afford to lose this one at all. We must nominate a winner to a majority of eligible voters, not just a guy we like best.
He is doing very well in bringing complex issues in simple language to the middle American voters. What were you looking for? Cruz lectures dramatically and Rubio sounds like a teenager. Carson's laid-back demeanor does not convey "commander-in-chief". Trump seems to be hitting the right notes with a lot of people.
I'll take "deliberately obtuse" for $400, Alex.
I think Cruz has a better shot at that than Trump has.

If Trump wins the nomination I think that there is no way that Cruz will be a part of it. Cruz wants to be president. Being a cabinet secretary, or worse Vice-President, is not a path to that. I can see Cruz remaining in the Senate and perhaps going back to Texas and run for governor.
